And Wyyrlok absolutely isn't better than Naga.

They really aren't though. Naga Sadow could pull off some frankly ridiculous shit and he's one of the most knowledgable and powerful sorcerers ever. I find is really hard to believe he's that much worse than Muur who clowned on Krayt and would crush Wyyrlok.
Kressh was a rival of Sadow. He should at least compare, to perhaps the same extent that Wyyrlok compares to Vong!Krayt.
In Book of Sith Sorzus Syn is already very excited by her new research into Sith Sorcery and the potential it holds. It stands to reason that as the Exile and native cultures melded and the envelope was pushed further and further for two thousand years up to the Golden Age of Marka Ragnos, there would have been significant advances.
Then again Ajunta Pall & co. were themselves the apex of a century of Jedi warfare caused by delving into forbidden esoteric knowledge. and they did enslave the native Sith rather easily.
Also the key to the Dark Transfer and the coming back from the dead in your own body thing only clicked for Krayt once Muur used his healing on him...
Also Wyyrlok himself is supposedly a very skilled sorcerer and said to know a lot of ancient lore including access to Xoxaan's holocron and whatever he found in Andeddu's tomb, yet we never saw him perform any ritual on the scale of Naga Sadow's. Actually we never saw any ritual period, or any esoteric skill other than his mind tricks.
Feats for Wyyrlok that match breaking statues and hurling bricks?
