Honestly, given how a more powerful Vitiate in SW: TOR was incapable of deflecting HoT's lightsaber, whereas a barely standing Kylo deflected Oneness Rey's, we can infer that Kylo Ren is > Novel Vitiate in defensive capabilities.
We can also infer he's faster given he freezes blaster bolts mid-flight despite being unaware of it whereas the supposedly all-powerful Valkorion gets taken out by a Smuggler shot to the back.
Snoke makes Kylo(and Kylo's equal Rey) look foolish, thus he would likely defeat novel!Vitiate.
