Question about Sidious killing the Summa-Verminoth?

Was Sidious using TP to control the Verminoth's mind and make it kill itself, or did he use TK to strangle the creature with its own tentacles?

My take is that Vader used TP to initially control the Verminoth. Palpatine then used TP to, rather casually, override Vader's hold over the Verminoth, as well as the TP of the creature itself(each of which are gargantuan feats in their own right), and then forced it to kill itself.

That whole arc was about Palpatine "reminding" Vader why HE is the Master, and dominating him on all levels... So using his own TP to undermine Vader's TP would make sense, imo.
