Ode To A Moose
A chance encounter of the internet kind,
Gave me someone who conquered my mind,
With thoughts of meeting, dreams of touch,
Wishes for kisses, transgresses and such.
Conversing daily 'bout interests shared,
Ignoring the future, unsteady and scared,
Replacing with rose coloured visions so tender,
PMs will never be Returned to Sender.
Floating in bubble-like, protected haze,
Non entertaining of; "could be a phase",
Sighs and sweet whispers through our written word,
Almost believing these letters are heard.
Entranced by his promises, lulled by this bliss,
Interwoven forever, to never be missed,
But reality strikes momentarily, hard,
Cold realisation, a shattered facade.
To be swept up immediate, stifled and dead,
Happiness settles once more in my head,
Ecstasy suffocates moments unsure,
I love you Scott G, every day, more and more.

Sometimes, although you feel alone, your own company can be the best in the world Try smiling in the mirror, I guarantee your reflection will smile back.
I bleed, yet I'm dry.
I cant, yet I try.
I can see, yet I'm blind.
Please dont leave me behind.
I run, and look back,
All I see is pitch black.
I trip and I fall,
I hear your voice call.
I dont know where you are,
What happend to my guiding star?

I'm posting a poem I wrote today, it took me about 20 minutes and it's dedicated to my little 'crew' of library helpers who always appear every break and lunch to help me in the library. I doubt it'll mean much to any of you because of names end stuff, but I'm proud of it regardless
‘GIZMO’S LITTLE HELPERS.....& Cunningham.....& Hurley’
Now, I’d like to introduce myself using my given name,
But it doesn’t suit me anymore and isn’t that a shame?
I never liked it anyway, it really won’t be missed,
I guess I won’t sign Kerry at the end of my Xmas List!
I suppose I should relay the way this came to be about,
If you can’t hear me at the back just ask me and I’ll shout!
Firstly, my new name ‘Gizmo’ isn’t really a surprise,
I earned it at the age of six due to my bulbous eyes.
The girl to blame is here somewhere, we call her Ayla C,
I let it slip in front of her, that was the end of me!
My name went out the window, Ayla shot round the school,
Told all to call me ‘Gizmo’, apparently it’s ‘cool’.
Next thing I knew, Alex appeared, clutching a fluffy pet,
A gremlin by my namesake, oh, I haven’t finished yet.
She lets him perch in my abode, two metres up in height,
And if she’s in a generous mood she lets him stay the night!
Moving on I’ll introduce a chick called Becky V,
A pretty one with eyes of blue and plans to murder me.
It could be me, I’m paranoid, so innocent she looks,
But voices whisper truths to me, I’ll listen to my books.
Next up there’s Rachael Number One, Baynes is a nutter true,
Always talking, never quiet, but silence would never do.
I think if she were not to yell, my aching head might rest,
But then the fun would disappear, and boredom’s not the best.
Number Two is Rachel Couch, now here’s a kooky gal,
And just like all my Library Crew, she’s one of my good pals.
She’s lively and she’s funny and I’ll miss her when I go,
But I’ll think of her with fondness, a girl I’m glad to know.
I think it’s time I told you all about a lovely lad,
Sam Jolly is the one I mean, the most helpful I’ve had.
Always a smile, always a hand that he’s willing to lend,
And when I leave, I think I’ll see our Sam as a good friend.
Next up we have a complete loon, goes by the name of Loz,
Not much rhymes with a name like that but it doesn’t matter coz....
She’s sparky and she’s different and she makes me grin quite madly,
And though I’m sure there’s a screw loose I’ll take her with me gladly.
And there’s Sophie, little Loosley, all angelic, blonde and cute,
But don’t be fooled, angelic? Bah! It’s just a cover suit.
She’s crazy, bonkers, off the wall, a cheeky little elf,
And paired with Vincent, bloomin’ lethal! RUN! And save yourself!
Lizzie B! You’re next my dear, don’t think you got away,
I’m not that nice, haha! But hmmm, what can I think to say?
Ah, she’s glowing brightly at the moment, cooing like a dove,
But we know why, it’s obvious, Miss Beardsall, she’s in love!
Oh me, oh my, I missed Michelle, now how could I forget?
The lass is crackers, barking mad, and I’m willing to bet.....
The when I’m gone she’ll stay with me imprinted on my mind,
A gal as memorable as our Michelle, you’re not likely to find.
I must just mention Sophie Jones, sister to young Sam,
One of my younger helpers and as quiet a s a lamb.
No wait, I’m sorry, that’s a lie, but nothing else would rhyme,
The truth is, spend a day with Soph, you’ll have a fabulous time!
Another young’un, name of Summer, I don’t know her so well,
But she seems sweet, no trouble at all, works hard and very well.
She hasn’t let me down just yet and I don’t expect her to,
She may be young, but Summer, I would like to say Thank You.
There’s just a few more ladies that I haven’t talked about,
I’ll describe Charley next, I think, and she, without a doubt.....
Can only be referred to as a mini mass of madness,
Her cheeky grin, a wily wink, belies this girly’s badness!
But what about Robyn, goodness me, I couldn’t do without her,
I think by now I would have killed a helper or two for sure!
She calms me down and shuts me in my cupboard when I’m stressed,
For protection of troublesome helpers, well, she’s undoubtedly the best!
Belinda’s next, now what to say? I don’t know where to start,
She’s hyper as a hatter but I’m sure she’s pure at heart.
She worries when I tell her off, doesn’t like the way I act,
But I have to be a tyrant, it says in my contract!
Second from last it’s Chloe though we haven’t had time to chat,
We might not know each other well but it’s very obvious that.....
Without her presence my Library Crew would simply not be full,
I’ve got a bunch who make me proud, the greatest in the school!
Now last of all, but so not least, Heather is the one,
I must admit I’ll miss her tonnes when I’m eventually gone.
She’s like a little sister and the time we’ve shared this year,
I’ll recall for always and hold those memories dear.
Now comes the time to say goodbye, my ditty’s almost done,
I love you all, a huge thank you, Merry Xmas everyone!
PS, one more, I almost missed our little Warwick out,
The rascal ends my poem and soon Xmas'll be about!
