As far as I can tell, he doesn't say everyone in Texas, or everyone from Texas is conceited, but that the state itself has done stuff that makes it the most conceited state in the Union.

Personally, Texas does come across as a bit vain, but no, it's not everyone of the populace.

Janus, you are being a little hypocritical though. In some other thread you were talking about how it is wrong that all people think Americans are war mongering fat piles of crap. Although many Texans are super prideful, I'd say that is around half.

First, I used to be a Texan. I reserve the right to poke fun at the overseriousness that the state takes in its own pride. And Illustrious is right, I mean the state itself and some individuals.

Second, that pledge was annoying. But it cut off an extra minute of class and that was all that mattered.
