I picked this up in a charity shop for a couple of quid, and I was quite impressed by this film. It's about a young girl( 9-year old Brooke Sheilds ) who is murdered on the day of her communion, all fingers are pointed at her older troubled sister, Alice. The film reminds me a lot of Don't Look Now ( I think Nicholas Roeg was the producer ) and early slashers like Halloween and Friday the 13th, not a great deal of scares but they are well done ( the music is scary enough ). Has anyone else seen this film? What did you think?

ah yes.......good flick. I saw it for the first time about 20 years ago.........watched it a few times since. As it was one of the first horror movies I watched.........I've always had a fondness for it.
Correct C-dic....actually when I was 5. There's nothing wrong with the flick. I used to watch horror flicks all the time with my mother......The Omen, Amityville, Alice Sweet Alice, Jaws, and the tv friendly versions of Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc, (NBC used to play them all day Saturdays). The only thing I wasn't allowed to watch was sexually explicit films. I wasn't one of those dumb kids who thought, "oh my god...the boogie man is going to get me".......I knew they were only movies and enjoyed watching them very much, still do.
She (my mother) did however fuck up from time to time.......when I was like 9 or 10 she rented "I Spit on Your Grave" for me w/o knowing what it was about. She just knew I liked horror films, saw it in the horror section and brought it home for me. When she watched it (after I had already seen it) she was quite embaressed.
At least you didn't watch it with her, that would have been awful.
I always used to stare at the floor or play with my shoes when a sex scene would come up in a film and my mother was there.

Nice. I snuck a peak at De Palma's thriller "Body Double" when it first came out, out of my Dad's stash of course. It was the first time I think I saw boobies.
First Horror movie was NOES 2, whenever it came out, I think i was 7.
Same here. My brother rented 1&2 one night, but I didn't watch the first, I joined him to watch the second and loved it. I watched part one the next morning.
