Superman on the verge of becoming his all star self version after being trap in the sun needed to be save by way of energy absorption..

List in order of who can get the job done and do it quicker???

Mjolnir and the Quantum Bands ftw. The most proficient in this category imo.

I'm not sure what level of power Captain Atom is currently at. I recall him exploding after absorbing a minor Nuclear Weapon recently so I'm not sure if his up to it.

Thor and easily. The Qbands had problems with energies outside the EM Spectrum. Thor's absorbed everything that's been throw at him.

Ah didn't see the stip, yes solar energy is within the EM Spectrum. He should have no problems.

Hasn't Quasar directly outperformed Surfer in this category? And I'd be hard pressed to justify Surfer being above Mjolnir.

I can post examples of Thor drawing out energy if necessary.

And the example I referenced is the Null Bomb scene where he instantly disarms the container by drawing forth it's energy right before it explodes.

Fun fact: Thor once opened a portal to the surface of the Sun, then drew out and manipulated pure Solar energy.

I had thought that the null bomb was at the point of explo when Thor had absorb the energy.. If this was not the case then I take him as 1st then..

I put havoc at first because he pretty much did it to someone with one look..

Rage is doing fine, but Mjolnir basically has every needed absorption feat to match and beat everyone on the list. Directed at him, not directed at him at all (the null bomb isn't the only feat), channeling energy through himself into Mjolnir when the hammer isn't pointed at anything, scope beyond anything needed for this matchup, ALL different kinds of energy, siphoning, etc. etc. He has his faults, but is basically the end-all in absorption at this level.

I'm pretty sure Thor got to it right before it exploded -the Recorder said only five seconds remained- and pointed out that Mjolnir was drawing forth all of the energy within the container. After the feat was performed, the Recorder -I think it was him- pointed out that Thor had defused the bomb.

If you want to double check, the event occurred in #407.
