The Unmaker was a powerful machine created ten billion years ago to stop entropy in the universe by destroying black holes. However, attacking black holes caused the Unmaker to be corrupted and began attacking whole galaxies. This came to the attention of the Living Tribunal who stopped the Unmaker. Too powerful to be simply eliminated, the Living Tribunal deactivated the Unmaker and sealed it into the core of the newly developed Earth.

The Unmaker awakened in the modern age and began attempting to break free from its prison, which threatened to destroy the planet. The Watcher informed the world's superheroes of the Unmaker's past and the danger it posed when it started to produce earthquakes. The smartest people on Earth eventually decided to assemble a team consisting of Vision, Scarlet Witch, the Thing, Invisible Woman, and Doctor Strange to stop the Unmaker. The team battled the Unmaker as it caused untold devastation across the planet. The Unmaker easily killed Thing and Scarlet Witch. Vision phased through the Unmaker's head, sacrificing himself to buy Earth a few extra seconds.

Disintegration: The Unmaker possesses the power to disintegrate literally anything around it, ranging from human-sized targets to objects as large as black holes and even whole galaxies. It can also disintegrate energy, even mystical energy like Scarlet Witch's chaos magic.[1]
Shapeshifting: The Unmaker can transform its arms into spikes and extensions to eliminate targets.[1]
