Since Obi is "in his prime"- we can assume ROTS, or shortly thereafter. Malak is good, and might be helped by the dark side nexus, but I think that Obi's superior dueling skills take the day.
Obi can block force lightning (with a saber) and Malak never showed any special aptitude for lighting, so that ceases to be a factor. Malak does not have Jedi to tear from the force from health either. Obi Wan, however, has substantial force pushing skills, and is willing to use them (vs. Anakin and Grievous).
Obi is "the most cunning member of the Jedi council", and THE master of soresu. He survived the Jedi purge, and even managed to protect Luke, even while not allowed to speak with him. (proximity was prohibited)
Malak was The Dark Lord after his usurpation of Revan, and was the second most powerful sith in the empire until that time. He has been shown to be cunning (the sneak attack on Revan) but is also described as a brute, without strategic prowess.
Obi Wan's position of prestige on the council for his wit and saber skills tip this fight for me.
Results:
1. Obi
2. Obi, with INCREDIBLE difficulty
3. Obi, due to his force defense and superior saber skill. Malak nearly wins, and it is a tough match.

Malak wins the force loses the saber and to me the all out is still up in the air.
Malak was able to put Revan (3/4's of the planets completed and so he clearly was no weakling at this point) Bastilla and Carth in a force stasis. He has been able to choke out more than one opponent at once (note this was used by Dooku to incapacitate Obiwan along with a force push) and he has shown the skill to drain others beings which I'm not sure if Kenobi has a defense for. And being this is on the Trayus Core would help but to increase his power.

How the hell is Obi-Wan going to win a Force battle? Unless he can block Sith lightning with his hands or Force-push Malak to death, he's going down.

every time you see Kenobi have a fight in the movies (except for rots vs anakin) he falls pray to getting tk'd lighting'd, (and even in the rots vs anakin fight, he has his saber defences penetrated when anakin chokes him with his bare hands...)
It's obvious that he is really crappy when it comes to defending against the force, and malak held one jedi up in the air with force choke while he slashed another one with saber throw.
1. sabers=Obi wan (it takes about 75% of his effort, however, because of malaks great physical strength, heighth, saber range, and ataru.
2. force=Malak (i have seen obi wan defend against force 1 out of the five times i remember him being forced! dooku using lightning when he blocked with his saber)
3. Malak for the reasons stated above, and the force ability tides him over.
