Everything has it's pros and cons. Models look amazing but it takes a lot to make it do things, it has limits in movement.
CGI is tricky to get to look good but it is limitless in movement, and the movement is also very difficult to achieve, CGI is young, I hope it eventually matures.
Gender: Male Location: On cloud 9 in 7th heaven! I didn't
Palpatine is the main focus. The senator part is a mere technicality. I had the emperor on there, but like 5 other people had it, so i changed it. And as i said in the other thread, I don't hate the PT, i just think its lacking in comparison to the OT.
two-things:
-Marketing Products/licensing
-Growing lack of plot
However the catchy name, Star Wars would inevitably fall prey to itself as the "wars" gets taken a bit too far.
The original 3 deserve their place in movie history. Despite some of the stupidity of the phantom menace, I thought there was a future for the next 2 movies. There was reasonably good acting, villanous sith enemies, some form of story and politics behind it...the ugly gray evil aliens and jarjar probably ruined it. Funny/strange as they were they took the seriousness out of the movie.
Attack of the Clones. Good battles, but the name of the title just says its going downhill. Bad acting in general, and despite huge battles--there was nothing epic or memorable about it.
Revenge of the Sith. A great movie--I mean, a good last 30 minutes minus watching the ugly and poorly made emperor costume battle yoda in a ridiculous animated fight while attempting to keep a serious tone. If you watch it again, you begin to see what a failure it really was. The final duel and anakin's slaughterfest was the only good part. I mean, you can see where the target audience of the movie just bounces in every direction. "Serious" things like mass murder and pregnancy and like the wish to kill small children more or less jumbled in with about ten dozen scenes that might attract the attention of a two year old with funny noises of robots and bad jokes. Also lets just through in a random battle with wookies in it, just to please our fans with mindless and plotless action involving monkey-like people. Chewbacca is disgraced. The acting was terrible, the best actor in the movie was killed off in the first 15 minutes.

Yeah...Palpatine was overdid in ROTS...way too much make up. he looked worse in ROTS after the Mace lightning, maybe he healed up a little before ROTJ? Of course he looks the same in Empire after they fixed it...lol. George had some of the actors from ROTS convienantly sit aside while he filmed them to put them in the originals...
