I tend to forget about Beckett. He's so forgettable. To the point where I still am not sure if you're referring to the guy with the gay wig or the ruthless "enforcer" body guard dude.

Mercer was the bodyguard/assassin/clerk. And badass.

So the season finale of the Office (which I haven't been watching this year) is terrific.

Sadly, Catherine Tate will likely not be the boss. Instead, Spader had me laughing to tears. (Tate's jokes had kinda been preempted by the guy from 30Rock.)

I especially liked Spader's interaction with Dwight. "it's done. I've done it."

And then he just turns around and is soooo smug. Spader is great.

Hmm if the Random House synopsis is any indication, Revan's memories truly are shot for good.

Anywayz,

No, that's not why the second and third sequels were bad. Star Wars has always had intimidating villains. Dooku was an eldritch creature equipped with intimidating powers and wealth, not to mention the master of the lightsaber. Sidious, who was, all things considered, the more dangerous of the two, was an astute strategist and manipulator who had all of the characters dancing to his tune. Was he a warrior? No, but when held at saberpoint in ROTS and attacked by Yoda in 3, he was unimpressed.

Sidious wasn't a fighter, but he doesn't have to be if that's not his role. He was dangerous through application of intellect and resources. Maul, on the other hand, was a very powerful adversary in the physical sense and that was why Sidious sought to use him as a weapon.

Fixed.

?
I actually have no problem with that, the only difference being that Sidious is more powerful than Dooku, whereas Beckett was not more powerful than Jones.

Gideon, take note. The review shows off exactly why the Joker is one of, if not the best fvcking movie villian ever. Also it answers your bitching about how 'easily' Dent was turned.

Fantastic review. SFDebris hits another one right out the park.

I never saw the large appeal in Ledger's Joker. I found Ra's al Ghul to be more intresting than the Joker.

Meh, to each his own. I can accept that people just have personal preferences. But imo, The Joker is characteristically and themeatically one of the all time greats out there, on top of being one of the sharpest written and performed villians of all time and just all around badass on top of it all.

[SPOILER - highlight to read]: He'd whoop that toad Beckett in any contest. stick out tongue

I think Ledger's Joker was the greatest villain of all time. Second is a tie between Hans Landa and Palpatine.
