A quarter to six, huh? Geez, late night surfing. Thought I was bad....

The herbal site says that they're in conflict? From what I understand, male and female are supposed to be parts of a whole.
A whole thing shouldn't fight against itself.....

Doesn't matter though. I don't like the opposition aspect......

The yin and yang represent all the opposite principles one finds in the universe. Under yang are the principles of maleness, the sun, creation, heat, light, Heaven, dominance, and so on, and under yin are the principles of femaleness, the moon, completion, cold, darkness, material forms, submission, and so on. Each of these opposites produce the other: Heaven creates the ideas of things under yang, the earth produces their material forms under yin, and vice versa; creation occurs under the principle of yang, the completion of the created thing occurs under yin, and vice versa, and so on. This production of yin from yang and yang from yin occurs cyclically and constantly, so that no one principle continually dominates the other or determines the other. All opposites that one experiences—health and sickness, wealth and poverty, power and submission—can be explained in reference to the temporary dominance of one principle over the other. Since no one principle dominates eternally, that means that all conditions are subject to change into their opposites.

They complementary and part of a whole, still.

PVS, I'm not saying you're theory is stupid or anything. I'm just pointing out the contradiction in Lucas's ideas and how I don't think he'll touch on anything like that.....
Palpatine basically is the dark side.

Switch to decaf, buddy.

I meant he represents the dark side.......

I feel it is a neutral energy field (created by living things) that can be used for good or bad and that has no will of its own.

So there....

if it is neutral, then how can it have a will?
how can it create anakin? it would need intentions to do so.
those intentions would be of a good nature: bring balance.
as opposed to an evil nature: screw balance, rule all

Reread my post: I said it has no will. I never liked that bit in Ep.1, although, it does fit with the staement about the Jedi and their religion (Ep.4).
Balance would mean things being, if not even, then with neither side being too far out of proportion to the other...

Wanting to rule all is the desire of a person using it.....

no, no thinking involved, just an action to create balance.
i dont assume that the force "thinks", just that it has a nature,
which is good, as the darkside has a nature, which is bad.
their followers do the thinking and reasoning
