The transition from the republic to the imperials.

When i first sat down and watched episode 3 i knew that they had alot of work transforming from the ship design/uniforms/style of todays star wars to the styles of the 1970 star wars film. I was actualy impressed as to how lucas managed to bridge the gap especially in staying true to the designs of the rebel blocade runner and the interior design of its ships.
But still had something lacking imo what do you all think about this? smile

I feel that maybe they could have given us a taster of the TIE Fighters , like a mini space battle at the end showing Vaders skills as the "greatest pilot in the galaxy" .
I was also left wondering if all Storm-Troopers are all spawned from the Jango Fett gene or if they decided to create a new batch of clones .

BTW _ Why don't they clone Anakin ??? Wouldn't his clone be just as powerful and in tune with the force as he ???

Yeh i would have liked a bit more like a proper tie fighter thing and a full imperial march score like in attack of the clones.. well something similar
would have prefered abit more with the imperials at the end

and i don't know they never seem to explain too much about cloaning.

I was talking about that in another thread , but someone told me that even George Lucas says the Strom-Troopers are clones . I on the other hand couldn't understand why in ANH two storm-troopers are stood having a conversation about cars ( on the Death Star while Obi Wan is sneaking around to deactivate the tractor beam ) like individual people , and also thought it would be a better idea to mingle individual s in with the clones , as there may be guys out there who were born to be a soldier and their skills would be over-looked as a result of not needing them ....

i always thoguht the storm troopers were clones but the oficers weren't
but then again the clones in epsiode 3 were seen socialising with obi wan. Maybe they are weak minded but do have some sort of a life lol

I wonder if clones have any social life? or do they just sit around until they are instructed.
Anyway, Anakin is already the best pilot in the galaxy, he doesn;t need a tie fighter to show it. At the end, it was a dam good transition, the imperal star destroyers and tie fighters looked good. plus they got 20 years to evolve

Storm troopers in the OT are not clones. They are just conscripts I would imagine. There are several indications of individuality, but i'm just too lazy to post em all up again, because it has been done before. Use the search to find out why they CAN'T be clones.

it's not cause they are clones that they can't develop individuality

No the reson why the clones like cody have personalities is beacuse they are an experimental breed of clones with a little more indepedant thought than average clones.Elite clones! Its in one of those EP3 encyclopida books.

aren't clones cloned on a basis on how there genetic structure is modified. I was thinking that a clone like codi, or other commanders, have to been given more independance than a regular front line clone. They would have to in order to keep an army working well. I guess he did have a little personality in him. But if you were to give him to much independance, wouldn't his personality be similar to Jango? Maybe wanna leave and go bounty hunt instead, although he cant disobey his orders

why only commanders?
if you go to battle on different planets, meet up on different locals, etc. you're bound to develop an other character than your clone fellows

It was a little wierd seeing all these hi-tech hologram projectors etc. and then when they show the inside of the Star destroyer at the end they have those cheap 70's-looking monitors

it's mass-production, they don't care about luxury, just about how many destroyers they can make in a month time
