there's no proof. Luke survived being tortured by the lightening and mace is leagues beyond him. as for the G-force he wasn't even blown that fast.

so they should have shown mace hit the concrete and splatter, his bones instantly shattering, intestines, blood, bone and brain fragments splattering everywhere...and an x-rating of the film to top it all off. then you would be happy, right? seriously...W. T. F.

Mace is dead. All the jedi were killed except for Obi-Wan and Yoda. Mace Windu died then. He didn't survive and die later, he died then.

I can't believe I'm saying this....but I agree with PVS. Anyways, Luke was being tortured, Palps was using barely any power in his attack. And Luke still squirmed. On mace tho, Palps was using a lot more power in his attack.

What the hell! George Lucas doesn't give a shit of what rating his movie got, he was just trying to tell a god damn story. he chose not to show what happened.

first you tell me george lucas wouldnt give a shit if his movie was tagged with an x-rating, which is so far removed from reality it baffles me that you would even say that.

then you go on thinking that you're disagreeing with me when you're acually backing up what i said. it is indeed just a 'god damn story' and indeed GL simply chose not to show what happened.

so now that you have just completely contradicted yourself, why persist in arguing for the idea that he survived?

I never said that mace was surely alive. I said he could have survived or maybe he died. Like I said George Lucas chose not to show it meaning there's no proof if he's dead or alive. and the movie wouldn't get an X-rating just because one person fell and was covered by blood and some insides poked out, you see stuff like that on medical shows all the time. But the point is the body wasn't shown so you can't be sure about anything.

I heard a rumor that in a deleted scene we see Mace in pain on the ground and Boba Fett walks up and blasts him in the face. I think thats how it should be becase I waited 3 years to see Boba get his revenge on him.

i dont like the idea of boba just happening to be in the exact location where mace lands...not to mention that it was mace who broke the window, so i doubt palps predicted he would finish him off by hurling him out the window. so i would say thats a baseless rumor

The circumstances surrounding Windu's death have lead to widespread speculation by fans that Mace Windu did in fact survive (much like the persistant rumors spread amongst fans that Darth Maul would make a return). Despite these rumors Lucas and Jackson have confirmed that Windu was always supposed to die in Episode III and that his ending would be the official canon of Star Wars movie lore.
