I'm thinking it might be that Anakin goes looking for Padme and the council send Obi-Wan to protect her, he intercepts Ani and they duel. Padme probably wont be the major cause for his turning but it will be a part of it-the Jedi keeping his beloved hidden from him would definitley piss him off.
i amn not hung up on martial arts flicks..i talked to an actual person who had lived and trained with shaolin monks for most of his life......you are right about the two bladed sword being harder to master...but, and he confirmed it to me, if you master the dual blade, and you are fighting someone with a single blade, they wouldnt be able to touch you. two blades means twice as many attacks. your opponent will spend most of the time blocking your attacks......
oh, and if i was a warlord and had to train a legion of troops the art of swordfighting, i would go with the single blade, because it is EASIER to learn........but, if i were a master at the dual blades, i'd be hard pressed to find anyone who could come close to being my equal. like it or not, its a fact.

first of all the benefit with a single blade is that you can have an arm free for a shield, second it takes less steel to produce meaning you can produce more of them for the same price as a dobble blade.
A double blade sword fighter wouldnt last long on a battlefield he would have been cut down pretty fast regardless if his martial art skill had no equal, the sword aint efficient in battle. It looks cool and stuff when you watch someone who knows how to handle it perform, but in open battle there is no room for fancy moves and such.
And an experienced single blade swordsman would take the advantage of the hilt of the double bladed sword. With that I mean there is an open space between the hands of the double bladed swordsman that are open and the weak and really vulnarable part. Remember stabbing is part of a swordfight as well and it is way easier to block a stab having a single bladed sword.
two blades doesnt mean twice as many attacks the wider radius angle of a double blade leaves room for quick counter attacks which means the double bladed swordsmen is the one who needs to be blocking.
Double bladed swords are a more defensive style of swordsfighting rather than an offensive style
so you are right and a TRAINED martial artist who has trained for 20 plus years is wrong? is that what you are telling me?

and i am pretty sure you have never been in a major battle involving swordplay, so it is crazy for you to suggest tactics in such a situation....i know a reliable source when i talk to one...
lets out it this way...if you wanted to learn to play soccer, who are you gonna ask...pele or some guy who SAYS he knows how to play?

If he lived with them I hope he mentioned Shaolin monks is about the kung fu art which refers to Buddhist meditation and cultivation, which aims to improve one's moral qualities, more than it is about martial arts.
anything more on Anakin vs Obi wan,................new rumors and such............. about Anakin, Obi wan was right about his arrogance even if Obi Wan is arrogant as well Anakin is too hung up in this best jedi ever and this self centred attitude must be against the Jedi code
Well in EpII anakin wuz getting really frustrated with kenobi's conservative decisions (the gaurding of padme), so i think he's just gonna snap when kenobi instructs him to do sumthin and years and tension builds up n he cant take it any mo, and then just snaps and attacks obi 1 (with obi 1 stugglin 2 overcome and subdue anakin). however this may not be the main duel. this mite just b a sign that anakin is loosing it.
then later on in the move when anakin is seduced by the darkside, obi 1 tries to save him and then realising that he could handle ob 1, the final duel commences.
he also mayb fued by such things as being forbidden to see da pregnant padme until the threat is nuetrilised.
I do think it will involve Padme at some point. Maybe that's how it starts and then Anakin just gets fed up with everything [like El Toro said] and takes out all his anger on Obi-Wan. But I believe it will stem from something to do with Padme.
i think he will be forced to choose between padme and the order. when he chooses padme, he will be expelled. obiwan will go to him to try and reason with him.....it will be too late and they will fight.
