Hey then If Lucas won't do it then hey. But I'll say this. I'll bet that if Star Wars Ep. 7,8, & 9 were made by Lucas, everyone in this forum would anticipate the hell out of it & watch it, hypocritically. And I bet each episode would make more than a half billion dollars world wide just like the other 6 ep.s did.

7,8, & 9 may not ever be made, in my opinion thats too bad cause I'd love for it to happen. And I don't care what anyone in here thinks about it, never did, but I foresee Star Wars theatrical movies in the future not having to do with Vader's story.

thats what i think..

Yup, you're right there. Episode 1-6 were about Vader and continuing with the 'episode' titles would be impossible and retarded as the overall story of the movies was finished with the death of the last sith.
But we can maybe expect SW movies about other stories in the SW galaxy, just not in the timeline after episode 6 because of the EU.

Or maybe Lucas would get inspired to create a sci-fi having nothing to do with SW.

Only time will tell, we should be satisfied with the knowledge of a television series about SW in the meantime.

Eps 7, 8 and 9 were to be about the rebuilding of the Republic.

That would be very...political, and as much as I absolutely adore Star Wars politics, evident by my roleplays, that would not be right.

Well, Lucas planned nine episodes with the ROTJ ending at nine originally but he shortened it down. There were no plans for SW to continue after the sith were dead because it would be retarded.

No Revan's gotta take them out, otherwise KOTOR 3 will be lame.

Plus it'll just become to clichéd if they ever thught about 7,8 & 9 with another huge invasion and stuff. It's the only bad point about Timothy Zahn books.

He and Gary Kurtz in fact discussed 12 at one point, but indeed the whole story is now 'cramped' into six episodes. It's over peeps... and I happy about it. I can live with four fairly good films at least. Heck, I can even bear TPM after ROTS...

Lucas made lots of dreams and plans. If he says there's no 7, 8 and 9 today, then there isn't. If he says a decade from now, there is, then there is. I consider Star Wars to be a work in progress, because he's continually going to tweak them all.

As a student of politics, I loved watching Palpatine's rise to power. Fascinating stuff. Hey, it was high taxes that brought this whole saga!

I love politics, and my favorite part of the movies was to watch Palpatine manipulate the senators, and to watch the workings of the Republic embarrasment The majority of the fans would not like to watch three movies on politics though. It's just not the meaning of Star Wars
I would gladly watch them though stick out tongue

I severely doubt he'd start making another trilogy a decade from now... He's already 60 years old, he'd be 80 by the time he finished it!

It would make no sense to continue after the death of the sith and the Chosen One fullfilling the profecy.. Lucas already approved the EU books about his SW idea's, he will never film or go against it.

But of course, this is a hard thing for Star Wars kids to accept, just look at the kids who desperately believe in SuperShadow.

All we know is that if Lucas were to continue the story straight after episode 6, SW would be the biggest mock of the century.

All he can do is start a whole new tale as the one about Anakin is finished, but I doubt it will happen.
