It doesn't matter how old he gets, people just aren't waiting for the episodes to continue as it is perfectly finished and it would only spoil the overall story of the chosen one.
If he really needs to put out new movies I would advice him (as Ushgarak said already) to just cut down on the restrictions the EU brings by either going against EU or preferably just put it in a whole new timeline or reality.
But I personally believe Lucas lost it a bit.. So I wouldn't be too thrilled if he would indeed continue.

This discussion has gone too far circlying around the same arguments, the point is there won't be another trilogy, just a tv series like GL said and the PT does not suck, if you thinks so keep it to yourself you won't change anyone's mind... and if the truly did suck it wouldn't have made so much money on dvd...I even bet you PT haters out there have your own copies...so just stop attacking everyone who does like the PT... and if you think that the OT is better than the PT I would have to say you are a 200% correct...everything beyond the OT or before it is just more of the same...

But the topic was: Should Lucas change his mind and go ahead and do episodes 7,8,9? And we expressed our opinions as asked.
