I liked them too, thier destruction at Endor makes me hate the majority of ROTJ. Scout Troopers are even more brilliant.

....but then I learned about clones. People would be a lot more obsessed if they could easily buy clonetrooper armor. The clones have way more character and way more depth that is physiologically possible with stormtroopers. Their intelligence, depth, culture, abuse, and the nature of the Clone Wars gives them this...stormies can never have any of those things.

I don't think many Star Wars fans WANT to stike a chord with the PT. Most are blinded by the superficial over-glorification of the OT.

I'm an artist myself. One of if perhaps the best aspects of Star Wars to me is the art. I'm telling you from experience, working towards a goal is not THAT artistically limiting. You complain about artistic limitations, but then complain about the incredible variaton in the PT which came about from the diversity of the creative process. This makes no sense.

At the end of the day, most people don't care about that stuff...especially when it's buying a costume...They care about how cool it looks, and in this case, how cool Stormtoopers look. If they aren't in fact interesting as you say, then why all the Stromtooper nuts? Cause they look cool-ass...and all I've ever been talking about until now is the look, the look, the look.

Stormtroopers look cool...Clone Troopers look lame. Snowtroopers look awesome...ARC Troopers look like clowns...Biker Scouts look sweet...(insert random pick from one of the many unisinspired, thrown-together crap troopers in ROTS)...look darn ugly.

I'm an artist too, and that's my opinion...even if you think it's dumb.

Stormtroopers are iconic, clones were introduced in what many feel is the worst of the star wars movies... not very fair is it?

PLus Clones develop too fast to get used to ONE look... Stormtroopers last three films, no wonder they are iconic. PLUS they were original.

I like the Clones, but they play too small a prt to be really interesting. I tend to agree with EPIII...

Good point...ships.

Love that solar sailor...probably scientifically impossible, but hey it's SW and anything flies. Comes in a cool cooper finish and makes a really neat sound too!
