I'm really disappointed that there wasn't even a single shot of Venom. They know that everyone wanted to see that. Idk...I'm excited about the movie as always, but that didn't pump me up, really. A couple of shots of Aunt May yacking on about the same old speech crap, a couple of shots of Mary Jane looking scared, a couple of shots of Peter complaining and then doing some flips...its nothing new....

OMG!!!!

[SPOILER - highlight to read]: there is a split second where you see harry with a knife, about to stab downward. then it goes to a .01 second shot above him. i paused it, there's no one below him, and he is standing. he is so gonna kill himself, most likely after he finds out about his dad's death, and that it wasn't peter.

i haven't been here for awhile. so what's this about ghost rider? why wait til then?

and i think he might be flying downward to stab an unconcious peter...

I couldn't care less that we didn't see Venom. Further proof he's got a tiny role in it anyway.

I was just blown away by Sandman's effects. He may be a C-class villain, but he makes great eye candy. His fights should be great.

Btw, did anyone notice a truck or something falling towards MJ, or did I imagine it??

I think so too. The scene right after it shows MJ, but if you notice he's in his spiderman suit in that shot, while in the scene where it shows him asking for help he's in a regular t-shirt.

Plus it looks like Venom has solid black webbing. There's one quick shot of MJ hanging on it, then another quick shot at the end where it looks like Spiderman is being strangled with some black webbing.

Looks that way, but if you look closely at the left side of the screen, you see the back of Tobey Maguire's head down to his shoulders, and the costume he's wearing is the classic one. Also, he asked for help at night, and MJ's shot was during the day.

This is what I get for watching it three times. Oh well, time for the fourth!

I agree that at least we could've gotten 2 seconds of Venom or something. They could've timed the trailer beautifully too, to have the entire sweet trailer lead up to a money shot of Venom. Now that would've been AWESOME. I hope Sony isn't going to pull a Godzilla and not show a single full shot of Venom until people go see the movie.
