Written by Ward and fellow New Zealander Toa Fraser, River Queen turns on the Maori land wars in the late 19th century, and a young woman caught in their midst.

Negotiations also are under way for Samantha Morton to star in the feature.

Shooting starts on June 28 in North Island, New Zealand.

I am extremely excited about this one, because I am a huge fan of all 3, especially Cliff and Tem, since "Once Were Warriors" is one of my favorite movies of all time. Adding Samantha Morton (In America, Minority Report Pre-cog) would make it all the better.

New Zealand is just a breeding ground for good actors/actresses, and movies!
