Top Roman Gods vs Top Norse Gods

Just the tops of each, because otherwise it would be hundreds.

I always thought that the Norse gods were slightly weaker
than the Greek ones.

For example, I always so Thor as superior to Hercules.

I may be wrong though.

I do believe that the Greeks are truly immortal, while the
Norse only age very slowly.

Anyway, i go with the Norse. Being Norse, they're born
warrios, in a warrior society, unlike the Greeks.

Roman Gods are immortal. The Norse gods age and die if they don't eat their immortality apples.

I always liked Artemis...Diana in Roman. Or was it the other way around?? She had some other names (theyed loved attributing gods and goddesses to various things and giving them multiple names). Hecate, Luna, the Huntress...I forget some of the others.

Anyway, I hope she doesn't die in the fight. love

Sorry K Von Doom, my mistake.

I meant the Greek/Roman gods weaker than the Norse.

Sorry.

THe appeal of norse gods is that they are far more flawed and human than olympian gods. Olympian gods are shown as being on high and above mortal concerns, whereas norse gods just love to fight and drink.

That's kinda the idea. They never tried to hide the fact that they had the same gods, just with new names. The Romans just couldn't be bothered to come up with new gods but had enough pride to at least rename them (Apollo was the only god to retain his Greek name...Uranus too, but he was sort of an over-god like Cronus and not among mortals like the others)...until they converted to Christianity and all, but that was sometime later.

Well, titans and gods are supposedly all part of one big family.

greek mythology:
Originally: Chaos
1st generation [Primordial gods] Gaia, Eros, etc.....
2nd generation [eldar gods]: Uranos etc.....
3rd generation [Titans]: Cronos, prometheus, hyperion, rhea, etc...
4th generation [olympians]: zeus, poseidon, hades, hera, demeter, hestia etc...
5th generation [gods]: Apollo, ares, athena, artemis, etc....
last generation [mortals]: Mortal and demi-god offspring of the 4th and 5th generations . Hercules, achillees, jason, etc...

Read up on Roman/Greek mythology. The power of the Roman gods is ridiculous. Apollo pulls the flippin sun on a chariot for goodness sake. The Norse gods can be killed. The Roman gods cannot. They are omnipotent. They have the powers of creation. The Norse gods are pests to them.
