'Pirates' sails a fourth time
By KEVIN WILLIAMSON -- Calgary Sun Capt. Jack Sparrow will buckle his swash for a fourth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Jerry Bruckheimer confirms . "We've got a good jump on a story we're going to do," the producer tells the Sun when asked about continuing Sparrow's adventures beyond next summer's At Worlds End.
"We hope to (do more sequels)."
Clearly, any plans to leave Pirates a trilogy ended about the time July's Dead Man's Chest grossed a record-shattering US$132 million in its opening weekend, eventually crossing the $1 billion mark in worldwide box office.
Key to any Pirates 4, 5 or 6 is the participation of Johnny Depp, of course; fortunately for Bruckheimer and Co., Depp has publicly stated he'd be up for more high-seas action.
The third episode will bow in May during an impossibly competitive month that also sees Spider-Man 3 and Shrek The Third premiere.
(Reports Orlando Bloom would be killed off in the third instalment have been officially denied, although one has to wonder how much longer Bloom wants to play second mate to an over-the-top Depp.)
Joining Depp, Bloom and Keira Knightley in At Worlds End -- which is still shooting -- are Chow Yun Fat (as Capt. Sao Feng) and, in a cameo, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
"He was great to be with. He didn't want to leave; he was having the best time," Bruckheimer says.

ok im really excited that there will be a 4th film...but i just hope they dont ruin it and make it TOO over the top...

anyway, i don't think that they will be able to kill off Will. BECAUSE, if they kill him off then they can't make anymore sequels. i'm mean, how are they going to make a movie without him? they wouldn't. so when Orlando doesn't want to be a pirate anymore, we can just kiss POTC goodbye.
I have to admit...Im gonna miss orlando. If it means Will getting in the way with the Jack/Liz relationship we want...then sadly you know...there has to happen something like death or something lol. Though I really really dont want to. Pansy or not I love teasing him I just have like a soft spot for him-I cant help it.
If he stays, hopefully he can get a well suited girl for him and accept liz happiness with Jack. A Happy Medium like my mother would say. But if Orlando is not sure to stay in the POTC buisness, I think that its because he notices how much Jack/Liz shippers are out there. He must be like "wow". So maybe he thinks that hes in the way somehow. If he wants to leave POTC hopefully we could have a descent ending for him.
wait if there is a rumor about Will's death or Orlando leaving so that means Lizzie has to be with Jack unless it is all fake which means nvm im a bit confused lol
ok. if Will dies, then yes, jack and lizzy will be together. but i don't think that Will will die! 'cause if he dies then, it's not as much fun anymore.
