I’ ve never had the pleasure of seeing pink elephants dancing around in tutu’ s, and I’ m completely unfamiliar with talking incoherently [smart asses are banned from speaking], hangovers and all that jazz. Yes, dear KMC’ ers, I’ ve never been drunk so far [jaw drop], but the Dark Side is calling… [mwuhaha]
What better occasion to kill a few brain cells and to throw caution to the winds then on New Year’ s Eve...
Soooo, if it depended on you, what would you vote for?
To get drunk, or not to get drunk. That is the question.
Ceterum censeo OTF esse delendam.

To get drunk, or not to get drunk: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous lucidity,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by drinking end them. To pass out: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To pass out, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: aye, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of alcohol poisoning what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this sober coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveler returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.
If that helps at all, I changed about three words.
really. you live once. and later you'll regret not doing it...
and yeah..hangover isn't the nice part... and I've never seen pink elepthants..but still do it
I' ve enjoyed the pleasures of alcohol on many occasions, but without the downsides. Moderation is key for me.
Do you think I' m ditching Fire on New Year' s Eve...

Ahh...I've never had the downsides either, even though I've had too much to drink, never vomited, had a hangover etc, I avoid those by drinking plenty of water No cure for acting like a tool though

Anyways, to answer (the severe lack of) question in a mature manner (as you have done so often for us...for which I salute you), I would say you should try it at least once. To be fair it is slightly risky I guess, but I think experiences are a rather important part of life and well...many people do it, I'd want to know how it feels like. As a matter of fact I decided on getting piss wasted one of these days as well. I have been reasonable drunk on Occasions though I have never been to the hospital due to it.
If you want to see dancing elephants Alcohol might not necessarily be the best thing though. Why don't you try some other drugs. Cannabis for example. Or Salvia Divinorum. The trip on the latter is said to be unbelievable though it does not induce the urge to try again. Which is nice. LSD and Mushrooms are supposed to be very good for hallucination tripsas well, though I can't say from experience.
I'd definately get drunk if I had the chance. I had 3.9 proof alcohol last night so I had no chance of getting drunk and don't for a while because I RARELY get the chance to get my hands on alcohol, sadly.
