Desak possessed superhuman strength, endurance and his stone-like skin provided him with an extremely high resistance to injury. Desak had the ability to fly, teleport, shoot energy beams from his eyes, and survive indefinitely in the void of space. He could sense all aspects of godliness, including immortality, in an individual, and he was given power equal to any god. With his Amulet of Power, he could also absorb their life force into the gem adding the defeated god’s power to his own. It had not been revealed to what limit the amount of power Desak could attain. However, Desak had destroyed whole populations of gods single-handedly.
When Desak First encounters Thor he takes out Hercules but when seeing that Thor wanted to help mortals and not enslave them he leaves in peace.
Later When Thor receives the Odin Force Desak Returns and beats on him. Saying he has the power to enslave a world. Desak loses but he severely injures Thor and Thor had assitance from Thiafli.
Its possible for him to defeat him but just not in the way they did it. Wasn't it he absorbed a god blast at first than thor just ends up throwing his hammer through him? If anything it be better Thor banished him, that seems so much more realistic.
True But since it happens after Thor regains his hammer it does make some sense. someone else holding the hammer drains that power from Thor. So Magni having the hammer may have weakend Thor. plus he could have focuse the Odinforce into the Mjolnir throw. kind of like a thrown godblast. so it could potentially make sense. it just needs better explaining.
Yeah I think it was like he put some energy into the hammer to destroy the two, but the thing is the destroyer indestructible, if thor could had done this before he'd done it so many times in the past instead of just getting his ass kicked or dieing. It sounds more badass when the destroyer is indestructible anyway, rather than a strong enough force can destroy it(besides the celestials) To me its almost like Thor taking out Mangog with a powerful lighting bolt which he never used before yet Mangog has taken all of thors hits with ease in the pasts.
The Destroyer was Never supposed to be fully Indestructible. when Zelia has the Odin power and blasts the destroyer Odin comments on how the attack was ALMOST strong enogh to destroy the destroyer. and Thor most likely couldn't have done it in the past because of the lack of the Odinforce or his lack of the ability to use it to it's full potential.
Desak beats on Jake Olsen who is using the power of Thor. Even though he was obviously weaker than classic thor its still impressive when he gets serious. He also beats on Gray Gargoyle who had taken Tarene's hammer.
Think Desak got underrated in a few categories; he should have perfect ratings, for strength, speed and endurance.
As far as his death by King Thor - Dan Jurgens also created Doomsday, specifically as a foe to defeat and kill Superman. Desak is immune to nearly anything Thor can do to him, so it becomes a bit of PIS when he dies by the bloodaxe the first time, then by mjolnir the second. Hopefully further stories will elaborate that he wasn't really killed.
