Mac question

I'm sure there is a more appropriate forum for this question but i need tech assistance and who better to seek for tech assistance than game boys. wink

I deleted Garage band off of my macbook pro. At the time i didn't use the program and needed the space. Now, however, i really need garageband. I was going to run the software disc that came with my macbook but i'm afraid that will delete files i have saved on my mac. I don't want to run the software disc again only to find that my itunes is empty and my documents have all been erased.

Do i run this risk by booting up my software disc again? I simply want to re-instal garageband to my mac. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you all may be able to offer.

Thanks smile
