Not sure if these are the worst examples I know; just from the top of my head.

I have no other two, as I don't play bad games.

Heavy Rain could have been longer though imo

... Is FF XIII even out yet?

Devil May Cry and Bayonetta are major offenders IMO.

Crysis?

Far Cry 2 I would agree with totally. I havn't even finished the game but it wasn't very good.

Crysis though, great gameplay and very large SP portion also.

He won't be able to give it a score because it's not out until next week.

That's weird, I know 3 people who have it and I think their copies are even in English. Oh well...

My top 3 "Games that could have been so much more but failed to deliver where it counts" at the moment are

Dissidia FF

Dirge Of Cerberus

Any Smash Bros. game (they are still fun, tho)

Then they don't have it legally, because even though stores already have it in stock (we've had it since Wednesday), it's dated to release on Tuesday the 9th.

Don't agree with the choice of Crysis. Actually has more substantive gameplay than nearly any other shooter.

Hahaha @ FFXIII being "all flash but no substance". I think it's already obvious the thing will pwn all sorts of ass, but the fact someone's already saying it's somewhat crap is amazing...why, because they cut some content to make it fit the 360? Whatever. It'll have the most content of any 360 game, most likely.

I'm going to have to put Bioshock on the list, although in addition, that is the only game I ever stopped playing to finish and then sold on Amazon. It was that unbearable. Stupid themes, bad lighting...and 2K published false trailers before it came out of its gameplay. The fact I realized you couldn't even see your feet in the game proves the trailers were pre-rendered (but made to trick the unaware person to believe it's actual gameplay). At least they didn't do this low shit with the Darkness. CG trailers of that game didn't resemble "gameplay".

I'm going to also agree that Bayonetta is an overrated piec'o'ess eightsh eye tee game. It resembles DMC gameplay a little too much, and we've had DMC a number of times. No one needs a DMC knock-off with a b.itch that has a body hardly any real life female has.

wow...,Bioshock? I didn't think i'd see anyone go there. Bioshock is easily one of the deepest and most immersive FPS games ever created. I can dig not liking it, but saying all flash and no bang...,that's just silly eh?

As for Bayonetta. Yeah, it's a one trick pony type of game. I hated it, but i loved it for what it was. It didn't try to lie to it's audience like DMC and be something more than it was. It was a cheap hack and slash with to much polish and big boss battles.

Mainly because of the fake trailers made most likely to decieve. One such as:

This is pretty much what I meant. If I'm misunderstanding the intended meaning of "all flash but no substance" then sorry. byez now.
