Finally a real announcement and it seems that we may be getting a sequel to MGS4 instead of a prequel, with Solid Snake returning!

“ We have not finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots,” Kojima stated in the interview. In MGS4, Solid Snake degenerated into a tired old version of himself, assuming the new alias of “Old Snake” and still doing what he does best. MGS5 may have other plans for the legendary soldier’s final days however, and the game is said to be more a “Infiltration Game” that’s akin to Deus EX: Human Revolution.
