This shouldn't be close. Oblivion should win. He was a teambuster easily... and was probably abstract level. heck his powers were drawn from the powers of parallax so it should be a nonfight since jonn was able to defeat fernus wasn't he

Fernus was a teambuster as well. BTW, how powerful was Oblivion exactly?

His powers were not created from the powers of parallax. Or at least, that is not mentioned once in Circle of Fire (the story actually featuring him).

He was just the expulsion of all of Kyle's negative emotions. That eventually took form as one of Kyle's art characters that he created when he was younger. He's a really advanced construct.

He was creating black holes and red suns as if they were afterthoughts.

Kind of. But iirc during circle of fire the reason oblivion was so powerful was Jules ring the entire time was drawing power from the green lantern energy that had been growing in the sun. The stronger that energy got the stronger oblivion became...

Also Kyle had been drawing on the energy in the sun for quite some time... Which is why he was able to create the false green lanterns and also why he hasn't recharged in ages...

The only thing that Oblivion has in common with Parallax is that it merged with the power source, after his defeat, eventually creating Ion. It did not draw power from Parallax itself.

Plastic Man is immune to telepathy, so he was used to take down Fernus.

I know that. I am asking what relevance does bringing up Plastic Man have in this thread?
