**I’ve been searching this forum for a while and haven’t found a specific thread on this topic and I’m assuming there isn’t one on it. If I’m wrong, please direct me elsewhere! Also, I’m a bit rusty on the different forums on here and what should belong where, so if this is in the incorrect forum my apologies!
I'll start, I went to Ohayocon in Columbus, Ohio over the weekend. I was impressed by how nice and accepting all the cosplayers were. I went in thinking my costume was going to be below average as I bought 80% of it from the thrift shop; however, I got many compliments on it and didn’t feel mine looked bad once I got there. I’d have to say the thing that shocked me the most was how unjudging everyone was.
As for the convention in general they had a lot of different panels going on as well as group photo shoots, venders, special guests such as Rikki Simons (voice of Gir) and Richard Horvitz (voice of Invader Zim), and rooms with video game stations, arcade games, and card games such as Magic. Overall it was a good experience, but they could have done better with organization and scheduling.
My biggest advice to anyone going to their first con would be, get a hotel room. It was a giant hassle lugging around bags, makeup, jackets, etc. Luckily we met up with a friend who had a hotel, but for a few hours it was miserable.
Cute! snivy
I've been to London Expo around 5 times, couple of photos I took of cosplayers:

most people at the con were really nice, but i have encountered the occasional weirdo... one guy grabbed my cousin from behind to hug her, and screamed "ninja hug". he was convinced he had met me and hugged me, even though I kept insisting that he hadn't. then he showed us his hentai.. also attached a plushie to his crotch at one point. very awkward
Those cosplays look awesome Sancty! My next one will definitely be more detailed. I'm going as Elsa from "Frozen" and a zombie Alice in Wonderland to Colassalcon in June.
Bardock, The Punisher would be a great costume! I didn't see any over the weekend. You should go to one!
And AbnormalButSane, I'm the least creative/artistic person ever. Legitimately. I threw my costume together in 3 days from a thrift shop. It's not as hard as it appears!
There will be no sex from me! I've been happily taken for 2 1/2 years, but there was an intense game of spin the bottle going on in the lobby, people making out in the hallways, and I heard plenty of stories of what went on in the hotel rooms after the raves.
I remember how you guys of KMC are, I used to be on here a lot back in the good old days of 2006. I knew exactly what I was getting into, but let's get back onto the topic of cosplaying. I'm sure there's plenty of hentai forums where you can act out your fantasies of being with anime girls
