They actually haven't discounted producing more books under the Legends banner, but it might be a while as they're focusing on the main canon now.

Its not a big deal. The old EU had cancer. Anyway, aside from Tarkin and the short story Orientation, I like all the pieces of new canon.

The Eu was never really Canon in the first place, simply because Lucas made the films and animation and he for the most part Completely ignored the EU.
At least now the Story Group is avoiding that scenario by making sure all future stories are canon in every medium.
