When C-3P0 wakes up in the Geonosis arena, he says that he had the most peculiar dream, referring to the aforementioned battle. Is it dialogue intended to be humorous, or can droid's verbobrains experience "dreams" when deactivated.
I thought she tried to strangle him when he came out?

Hilarious you guys. Bravo. But you need to get your facts straight. My mother did try to strangle me but was unable to because I was protected by a bubble of awesomeness. Then they tried to give me to the animal rescue legue but they rejected me because I was "unnaturally good looking". It's a common reaction for people to feel distressed when they first gaze upon me, the mixed feelings.of jealousy and joy often drive people into hysteria. Although I hear that on the way home from the hospital that your mother stopped to toss you into a dumpster.
Anywaysidoodles. It's most likely that when droids deactivate they're programming is sort of running, processing information at lower pace than when they're activated perhaps?
Although this just could have been script thing. A phrase that they thought was funny or something, in fact i think it's just a little phrase, Seepio always something like "Oh my i never dreamed of" In the Dark Apprentice, Champions of the Force, Dark Saber and Rebel Force novels, so it's likely just a phrase common among writers for Seepio. but that's just me.

If droids dream or not, I don't know. But there are droids who are sentient or semi sentient. IG 88 and Artoo are prime examples. There is even a droid named I Five that developed a Force signature and had the potential to command the Force

It's non-canon to either continuity.
