Wow....Raiden ftw. Better reaction time, better agility, he has strength feats out the wazoo. Can deflect bullets with sword, can jump to insane heights. also has a knowledge of basically any weapon, has been killing people since he was a child. I don't see how mercer is going to cope with a sword that can cut through anything and a guy that could use better than most anyone.
The only problem is mercers's ability to not be killed. Even a nuke couldn't do it. If there are no other living things within reach of Mercer then Raiden takes it hands down. If Mercer can keep coming back to life, then eventually Raiden will tire out and lose.

1. Alex is a living Virus he has no organs or nerves or anything relating he has literal INFINITE STAMINA he doesn't even need to sleep,eat, and or drink.
2. Alex MOST greatest defense is his armor which in Prototype 1 has NEVER been broken it does reduce ALL given attacks but slows his movement but since Prototype 2 the Agile Armor is his armor which it no longer restrict his free running.
3. Alex while I'm playing had scaled Manhattan island UNDER 2 Minutes.
4. Alex Whipfist has infinite range this is shown In-game.
5. Alex cant take any fall damage due to him having no bones/organs so he would be totally untouched.
6. Reaction time? Alex HAS reacted to Machine gun fire and life tank/helicopter missiles and machine gun ammo he had also taken then "Face" on.
7. Strength.....alex known limit was shown when he throw a 10 ton tank with a single hand.
8. Alex has thermal vision so if Raiden tries any smoke techniques it wont work.
9. Alex with the Medusa stare can 1 shot anything which was shown in-game when he can turn a symbol Human into goo and cause Super soldiers/brawlers to go into instant consumption form.
10. He can control THE infected and can easily kill a human with a single HIT and where infected has MORE increased durability than a human.
11. Alex Mercer has survived a nuke before which should have turned him to ASH if I may mention and he cane back by a simple crow a small animal.
12. Alex has a Genius level or Super Genius level intellect he had perfected/altered/evolved a virus that not even the top scientists at Gentek could have done he also has SHORT military training which WAS demanded so he isn't lacking in combat as he gained intelligence with Assault Rifles,Machine Guns,Grenade Launchers,Rocket launchers and has vehicle control aka Tanks/Helicopters.
13. Alex can also order a airstrike on a target as well.
14. Alex disguises can fool anyone since he takes on FULL DNA/Physical appearance including Voice and memory.
15. Alex can slowly develop over his weaknesses aka Bloodtox when overtime he was immune to something that can kill him.
16. Muscle Mass is a INSTANT KILL for human level beings when equipped just by shockwaves can cause the small area to be affect causing humans to turn into blood/bones.
17. Area attacks is what makes Alex a deadly being he had MULTIPLE area attacks both as a Defensive/Offensive techniques he was shown capable of destroying MULTIPLE tanks with a single devastator which are armored when going through the game.
18. Alex posses a healing/regeneration power which automatically heals him once he takes any amount of damage but when he takes DEEP attacks I would take him a few moments (A minute or so) to heal back up.
19. Alex at a near death state CAN have his devastator back ALONG with a increase in DAMAGE of it but depends on the devastator.
20. Summoning just like James Heller it goes with Alex as well since he can summon exploding vultures/brawlers or when a Goliath to his aid making him a very dangerous fighter.

Striking Speed=Raiden
Striking Strength=Both (Alex with Muscle Mass gains additional strength boosts)
Stamina=Alex
Powers/Abilities=Alex
Wrong Wrong. Raiden wins. Get back playing Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and you will see that Raiden can cut anything into pieces and he took a stab from Monsoon's Blade and just get hurt a little bit.

Seriously, as I said, even Gray Fox could trash anything in Prototype, and comparing him to Raiden is like comparing a VR T Class diesel engine to an NR Class diesel engine

The only things that ever threatened Mercer's existence was another evolved consuming him, a virus made to poison his kind and the atom bomb. As powerful as Raiden is, even he's going to be frustrated trying to kill something that can regenerate from a puddle. As time passes during the battle, Alex could actually win but not for the reasons Beyonder made. Oh god no.
The facts I placed places him above Raiden.....like I said.
Infinite Stamina>Superhuman Stamina
Nuke Durability>Raiden Durability
Strength Wise THEY both have it.
Speed? What's raiden TOP speed I will wait.
Alex regeneration,his no fall damage, his multiple powers/skills he would win this Mid-High Diff if you dont allow ARMOR mercer but since Alex ARMOR is at play this is Mid Diff.
