Karness Muur Respect Thread

Karness Muur Respect Thread

Force Powers
Force Alchemy: “He was one of the creators of creatures such as Leviathans as well.” (Wookieepedia). Karness Muur was very proficient in the ability of Alchemy, which allowed him to create extremely powerful creatures in seconds.

Force Lightning: “Muur also displayed a mastery of Force lightning, using it to deadly effect on several occasions.”(Wookieepedia). According to both Wookieepedia and Vector Prime 3, Karness Muur can use Force Lightning. His Lightning was even powerful enough to send Darth Krayt many meters below a compound. During this battle, he also unleashed a very powerful Force Storm. “In the final battle against Darth Krayt, Muur created the most devastating Force storm, an ability he manifested while in control of Celeste Morne's body.” (Wookieepedia).

Thrall/Rakghoul Manipulation: “His rakghoul plague, a malady that was transferred through the saliva of a rakghoul which turned its victim into the same, was engineered in this manner.” (Wookieepedia). Karness Muur had the power of spreading a disease known as the Rakghoul plague. This would turn non-force sensitive beings into mindless Thralls. When the thralls were to cut or spread their saliva to another being, it would cause them to become a thrall as well.

Sith Magic: “Muur was also a pioneer of Sith magic.” (Wookieepedia). Muur was a powerful practitioner in Sith Magic. The Rakghoul Plague was crafted from Sith Magic meaning that he probably knew a number of spells other than that. Also, when the Sith came to the planet of Korriban after the Battle of Corbos, the Sith (species) taught their visiters a thing or two about Sith Magic. They knew much of this magic because it has been recorded that both Hakagram Graush and King Adas knew the Sith Magic as well. “casing himself in ebonarmor, he wielded a massive battle-ax, and became a master of Sith magic.” (King Adas).”er the arrival of the Dark Jedi exiles on Korriban, following the Hundred-Year Darkness, the Sith sorcerer and monarch, alongside his people, disallowed the outsiders from learning their secrets of Sith magic.” (Hakagram Graush) (Wookieepedia).

Force Healing:”Muur was a skilled dark side healer by his own statement.” (Wookieepedia). He taught XoXaan in the ways of the force. She was known to have incredible Force Healing skills. If Muur trained her, there is a chance that his healing capabilities were more powerful. Wyylork also said to Krayt that Karness Muur may have a way to destroy the Vong Seeds within Krayt. This was after he looked through the ancient knowledge of XoXaan and Darth Andeddu who was able to live forever.

Force Mimicking: This may not exactly be a force ability, but it is quite related in some key qualities. “His ultimate plan was to find a strong Force-sensitive individual, and trick them into wearing the Talisman—which would then allow Muur to possess the being and access their own Force abilities.” (Wookieepedia). When the spirit of Muur takes over a Force sensitive, Muur is now capable of using their entire arsenal of skills. He states that he can do this multiple times throughout Vector Prime telling Celeste Morne that he will find a more powerful force user to control and then she will die. His plan was shown when he tried to possess Darth Vader and Darth Krayt knowing that they were more powerful than Morne. “When Morne attacked Darth Vader, Muur sensed the greater power within the new Dark Lord and began taunting Morne to accept death to escape his grasp, while also whispering to Vader to take the Talisman for himself, and then use its power to slay his master.” (Darth Vader). “Only towards the end did Muur's true intentions take hold: to kill the Jedi, turn Cade and the others into Rakghouls, and take Krayt's body for his own.” (Darth Krayt) (Wookieepedia).

Dueling Skills

Form: After his death, it was recorded that Muur owned a curve-hilt lightsaber,“This usage of the curve-hilt lightsaber would most likely mark Muur as a Makashi practitioner,”(Wookieepedia). In the Battle of Corbos, it was recorded that he owned a Protosaber,”At the time he encountered Korriban's native species he carried a yellow-bladed Protosaber, which he brandished in their presence as a display of his superior power.”(Wookieepedia). Most curve-hilt lightsaber owners are usually (if not always) Makashi users, so if Muur was a Makashi user after his death than what what was his form back at the time of the Battle of Corbos? Due to the looks of Vector Prime, he looks more aggressive than an everyday Makashi user. Either the form was a tad different at the time, or he changed the way he fought with this form in the future.

How Good of a Duelist was He?: Out of most sources I have looked into, it states almost nothing about his Lightsaber skills and more about his powerful ways in the force. I reckon that he trained mostly in the force and used his lightsaber when they got close enough, but I do believe that he would use it more than those of Darth Sidious or Tenebrae. I do believe that at an older age he would use it more like Darth Nihilus, only using it for deflecting attacks or when the opponent got in range. In Vector Prime, he appeared to use his lightsaber efficiently, so maybe he used it less and less as he got older.

Who Would you Compare Him to?: I would compare him to Darth Maul when it came to lightsaber skills. Muur never focused in lightsaber dueling as much as he did in the Force. Though, he had lots of time to get down the basics.

Equipment

Muur’s Talisman: This was an extremely powerful amulet given to him by Sorzus Syn. It had multiple abilities such as non-sensitive beings into Rakghouls for Muur’s command. ”Crafted by his fellow exile, Sorzus Syn, the Muur's talisman afforded Muur the power to transform those in his close proximity into mindless thralls for him to command.” (Wookieepedia). It contained Muur’s spirit after his death, and when it latched itself onto an opponent, Muur would control them and have their full arsenal of Force Abilities, including his own. “When Morne attacked Darth Vader, Muur sensed the greater power within the new Dark Lord and began taunting Morne to accept death to escape his grasp, while also whispering to Vader to take the Talisman for himself, and then use its power to slay his master.” (Wookieepedia). “

Protosaber: During the Battle of Corbos, Muur has used the standard blade used by the Jedi. “ Alongside Pall and XoXaan, Muur was exiled from the Republic and arrived on the planetKorriban with his fellow Dark Jedi. At the time he encountered Korriban's native species he carried a yellow-bladed protosaber, which he brandished in their presence as a display of his superior power.” (Wookieepedia). It also displays this in Vector Prime. This weapon was most likely the weakest of the Lightsaber family, it had a long cord that duelers would have to stuff in their robe so that it wasn’t cut. Cutting it would cause it to lose power from the battery pack it was connected too.

Curve-Hilt Lightsaber: After his death, he used a blade with a Curved-hilt which supports the theory of him using the form of Makashi. “As a Sith Lord, Muur apparently transitioned from the protosaber, which required the use of an external power source, to a curve-hilt, red blade lightsaber. This usage of the curve-hilt lightsaber would most likely mark Muur as a Makashi practitioner, making him a deadly duelist.”(Wookieepedia). He is also seen using one in Vector Prime.

Weaknesses

Amulet Destroyers: In Vector Prime, Cade Skywalker destroys the Muur Talisman with the Force by overloading it. Muur is vulnerable to other Force users capable of doing this.

Random Feats

Defeating Krayt: Muur detested Krayt in Vector Prime. Shooting a powerful blast of Force Lightning that caused the Sith Lord to ffall to his eventual death. Doing this, he also stated that he has easily taken out Sith Lords that were more powerful than Krayt in his past. We are not sure if he was either bluffing or thought Krayt was weak not knowing of the Seeds.

I may update this in the future, doing so I will place the same thing down with some extra details. Most likely, this will not happen. This is probably my last copy.
