So I was browsing Star Wars Lightsaber Battles(I think it's canon) and in there is says that Mace Windu had the only purple lightsaber in the entire Jedi Order. I must admit I did not know that.
It don't make sense out of 10,000 Jedi he had the only one.

Because he is the only jedi to have mastered Vaapad, which pulls you closer to the dark side without falling to it. Remember that in canon the colours represent your soul or something like that
I believe purple is the color of leadership. At least, from a symbolic perspective.
