Errr... depends what you mean by historically wrong. We have almost bugger all recorded history for Troy- many considered it a myth until we found the remnants.
How much it differs from the Iliad and the Odyssey- different question.

Orlando is playing Paris? Hmmm! I guess he would not fit a Hector. Bit of a sneak, though, is Paris. Doesn't exactly go mano a mano with Achilles. That said, there is good reason for that...
I reckon they should go the whole hog for sequel value and put Aeneas in as well, though who could play him, I do not know!

Aeneas as well...yeah, good idea, but the film would be so long...i think! hmmm..who would be better to follow Odysseus or Aeneas from the defeat of troy.....
I dont think Paris should be orlando...i dont think he suits it...maybe, i dont know till i see it
