I think that would kinda ruin the bittersweet sorrow trademark of final fantasies.. its always about the memories living on
I also hope they give a more in-depth view of clouds past..
I mean they really had me wondering if he was a clone or if he had a real past (I think that whole mess took up the entire 3rd disc lol)...

Yep. Also, in X-2, [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Tidus coming back at the end also ruined the bittersweet sorrow of FFX's original ending... but that's just the way I feel. Great game, just think there would be another way for it to end... a prequel may have been more accepted, say with Jecht, Braska, and Auron. But that's a bit off-topic.

im pretty sure he wasnt a clone...
but he was infected by large amounts of Jenova cells...
thats what made one of them...

wait a sec...
hmm...
would it be possible that they made a replica of the original him but with Jevova cells?

all thats for certain is he was infected by Jenova cells and half of his memories were of that of Zack. but that was because he was to ashame to admit to himself and others that he was never in SOLDIER in the first place.

no if you had read the wrighting you would have understanded that he was a clone.

he was a clone of a guy called zack thats why he remebers the name when he goes to the broken reactor
