You asked for it, you got it. I'm a writer, so it's long. I apologize in advance for that.

Well, back when X2 came out I sorta rediscovered X-men, and I realised I really liked them, for several reasons. Soon enough, my little over-active imagination was taking me on daily X-men adventures, and my character was actually based on powers I had in a dream once. I needed a codename. And it had to be just right. I spent a few days scouring the Dictionary and Thesaurus for just the right word. I settled for Prodigy. So, each day when I was bored I kept a running story of what happened to me in my mutant lifestyle.
Then, joy-of-joys, I got my laptop, which I'm typing at now. I started writing my first FanFiction. I didn't even know what FanFic was yet. All I knew was I wanted to write it down so I wouldn't forget it. It became a day-to-day diary for me, tying in real events in my life. (Such as getting stuck in the bathroom.)
I've gotten to like the the name so much that I carry it into screenames, and even my real nickname. But very few people actually call me 'Dige. ):
Considering the story had gone on for over a year, I was starting to want a different character. And I was starting to get to want a different storyline. My writing style has matured into more novel-quality material. So I stopped writing my FanFic. I still have it in my computer, 228 kilobytes, and it would be over 170 pages long if it were a paperback book.
And now I'm restarting the story. New character, new friends, new places, new powers. But still the same name.
(In the comics there is one mutant kid called Prodigy. But I had the name before he did, my character was created before him. And I will never use him in my stories.)

(And that's the simple, version of the story, lol)
Thanks.
No, I'm afraid only a few priviliaged (?) people will ever see that story.
1) It's highly personal as it keeps going. I'm talking family vacations are incorperated and everything. 2) It's huge. There's just no other way to put it. 3) It needs edited. I've become a perfectionist about my stories, and it's crap at the begining since I wanted to hurry and get to the 'good stuff'. 4) It's flawed. Mispelled names, facts that got overlooked... 5) It's literally missing huge chunks at the end. Things I 'meant to add later' are now just <insert here>s.
