actually that was our project in Computer Engineering Design course.
we call it House Light System...
the house won't be using a human switch anymore to turn on the lights... it could only detect people going in and out the house and counts up/down the number of persons in every room... and automatically the lights responds.

567 so your going to save on electricity by building an even BIGGER drain of power computer system that will switch lights off and on alot and probably blow more lightbulbs than a whore turned electrician.

567 hmm, well you'd need to rewire the switch sytems in the whole house and link them to a computer, which would need a seperate card that took input and output power from every light in the house, and be able to regulate when to turn them on or off from a program. not only that but you'd also need to install a motion sensor in each room that would have to constantly be on and that would have to be linked to the computer as well.. soyour looking at one helluva computer to take all this and do it efficiently. not only that but all those extra bonus's like motion sensors and stuff.. you best be making this for rich people jury
