But if you watch the scene that Neo wakes up and then meets the crew, you can tell that that's the first time that he's been completely conscious. So how could he have rehabilitated himself if he's asleep?

stated a lot of times that probably they were short of time. afterall it was a sci-fi movie and thats not possible to show and explain each and everything. can u ask the t3 writer about the possibility of time travel of machines? u can't
Well imagine being completely motionless for whatever his age his (I forgot). Then waking up, loads of pipes being disconnected from you, a machine grabs you by the neck no doubt straining his muscles. Then he gets dumped down a chute and lands (from some height) into some water. I would think that you would be bloody tired. His muscles would be knackered after a few minutes, no doubt.

It's obviously the first time that he's been awake. He doesn't know where he is and he feels the machinery things one his arms and neck in wonder. He hasn't met the crew, and he doesn't know what the food is.

when some1 is unplugged for 1st time. he knows and remembers each n every thing from hi past matrix-life. the only problem u can state is about the physical awareness. and i told possibly the major reason was MOVIE DURATION. although they showed some surgery of him but it wasnt necessary to show all of it. if u r a sci-fi man, u should get it now.
(for GOD sake dont say anything about this stupid hole (if it is) again)

So you're saying that he was rehabilitated while unconscious...
And your argument still doesn't explain anything. If he had been awake before, then why would he suddenly be interested in the IV, or the plugs all over him? If it is movie duration, then IMO, they did it badly.

The Unknown>Neo has been in the pod his entire life, yet when taken out, no operations or anything are done to his ligaments. It's pretty much impossible for him to have been able to walk after being taken out of the Matrix w/o surgery and rehabilitation.
true his body would be in a crap state and would need to be repaired. this is shown by him almost drowning and having to be carried after the claw picks him up. his rehabilitation is shown- such as the needles that presumably repair/strengthen his muscles.
also according to the two dates shown in the 'trace program' scenes at the start and end of the movie the events take place over 7 months. this would suggest that the majority of the seven months is spent with neo in his rehabilitation as the action takes part over a short period of time: a couple of days before he is freed, a short period of time for training etc, then the Oracle Visit till the end of the film which all happens across 1 day.
The Unknown>Morpheus says that he's been looking for Neo his entire life, but he got out of the Matrix probably as a teenager and wasn't allowed to be on a ship till about 17. So that means he's been looking for Neo for at least half his life.
technically you are right but i think 'all my life' can be a figure of speech and doesnt have to mean from the second you were born.
also as Morpheus spent some of his life plugged in to the matrix (unaware) he may not consider that as being alive or a true life. therefore he could mean that since he was freed and learnt about the matrix+war he has been searching for a person who can end them.
The Unknown>Link says that Neo's "doing his Superman thing", but Link is from Zion, not the Matrix, and though he may have been told about him, how does he know who Superman is?
i think you answered your own question there; 'he may have been told about it'. if you were born in zion you would naturally be curious about what life was like in the matrix.
also he is an operator so although he doesnt enter the matrix he views it on the ship.
At the beginning of the film is when Trinity runs from the agents; that doesn't mean that immediately after, they go after Neo. It's unknown of the time between the opening sequence and the next scene, and it's unknown of how long the time is between the defeat of Smith and the final scene, meaning it could have been months.

Well, since he's bald in that scene, and has about a cm of hair in the next, possibly 20 days or so.

Unknown> We don’t really know what kind of funky surgery and rehabilitation the needles do there in the 27th (?) century. Suffice it to say, the movie DOES slow down to show, that you can’t just jump out of a pod after laying around in it for all your life.
I agree his hair-length shows it has not taken several months – it doesn’t has to. Today we’d need to spend time training our bodies to work again. Sci-fi tech may incorporate that. How? No idea, I don’t know how they plug their minds into a program either

true but it would make sense for it to be fairly soon after as Morpheus is trying to get to neo before the agents and vice versa.
after crashing the garbage truck smith says 'we have their next contact'.
after neo is bugged it is said 'they got to you first'.
Why you people are calculating the time according to the Neo's hair length? As he remained in pod for many years, that should have caused his hair to grow slowly.
When he was in the pod, his hair didn't grow, but once he got out, it probably started growing normally.
