yeah see I CAN admit it when I am in the minority of not liking a movie lots of others seem to.as you know, theres a couple of major comicbook hero movies that were made that were big blockbusters at the theaters that I criticise quite often and some people are insecure about the truth that the ONLY reason they made so much money at the box office was because of how kids love them so much.
that their a popular icon figure and already had a huge well built in audience is the ONLY reason they made so much money.I mean I run into people in real life constantly who hate those movies.E.T is a different story for me though.i obviously hate that movie but I got to admit,I seem to be in the minority in my city where I live on that.I never liked it as a kid, hate it even more so NOW.but just about everywhere i went back then when i would tell someone I hated that film, they would all say-your the only person I have heard say that.happens today as well sometimes once in a while.
Gender: Male Location: Sailing the seas of cheese.
But, in a way it was kind of happy because we knew she would be going back to the magical land as a princess or whatever, where she wouldn't have to live as a human in our painful world. But yes, still sad.
Gender: Male Location: Welfare Kingdom of California
You have no idea what those kids did to my mind with their constant "ET Go Home" quotes every single time we were playing in the court yard of the school.
"Pan's Labyrinth" did make me cry hard. I'm a cryer though. But the ending to that movie was painful.
Although this wasn't an actual death- there was no death scene- I cried harder and longer and- just sobbed- during "P.S. I Love You." I mean, I knew it would be sad because I read the book and knew the story line (and I'm a huge Gerard Butler fan" but still, the movie took me off guard. I've read many reviews and a lot of people who have seen it say the same thing. It makes those of us who are lucky enough to have loving partners in our lives contemplate what life would be like without them. It was done really well and tore my heart out only to be stomped on repeatedly by the time the movie was over.
I've only cried that hard during "Titanic." I started when the two old people held each other in bed and the mom was reading to her kiddies, and cried all the way to the dream sequence at the end.
I remember "My Girl." It was saddistic. I had no idea the kid was going to die, and I sobbed. There was a woman in the restroom who was wailing. I think it hurt her more than normal and I felt so bad for her.
I'd write a novel if I listed all the movie that made me cry. Beaches, Fried Green Tomatoes, Heck- I cried over Wilson in Cast Away and he was only a volleyball.
My most surprising cry was "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End." I NEVER expected the deaths that happened in that movie. When Liz's father floated past in the boat I got teary-eyed, but when Will got stabbed- that blind-sided me- I cried. So did the woman next to me so I didn't feel so alone!

Revenge, with Kevin Costner and Madeline Stowe. This is the only good vid I could find, dammit:

*spoilers ya'll* [SPOILER - highlight to read]: When he is forced to kill his dog, that made me pretty upset. And when he sacrificed himself, although, that ending is very different to the book.
Oh oh in Paris Je'Taime when the singer dies, I can't remember what the segment is called but it's this guy in love with this girl and she buys him a cup of coffee in the end but then he's dead.
