SimplePriest> There is no worded explanation in the movie for the Sentinel flying through Neo. But it’s quite simple (pardon the pun ), I think.
We agree, that basically Neo’s connected to the Source through something as everyday as wireless, right? It’s the same mechanism that let’s the Sentinels communicate with each other and the Machine City and the Source. EVERY machine or program run by 01 is connected to the Machine Mainframe. Neo carries a program-code from the Source. Namely the anomaly. It’s what let’s him see energy-patterns and electromagnetic fields connected to the Source.
So the Logos flies towards 01, and Neo starts to use his Source connection to short-circuit/detonate the flying bombs. 01 retaliates. Of course the machines realise that Neo has super-access RIGHT to the very core of machine AI. The Source. So they send a “black ice” out along the connection. Ever played Shadowrun? It’s a transmitted defence mechanism, which locks in on the anomaly. To Neo it is VERY real.
Better?

JediHDM> Huhh. Can we agree that all Trinity does is to CATCH Neo, when the energy-sentinel flies through Neo? And that she does not see it?
Or do you mean, “people” may mistake it for a real sentinel?
Neo KNOWS what a sentinel looks like, and is aware, how dangerous they are in the real world. It’s like using an advanced form of a mental “fire-wall.” Use something the intruder is afraid off as image.
Did I make ANY sense?

yeah, i understand, but the fact that we could see the Sentinel in our eyes is bound to screw people up, and we'll have to answer this question a million, bajillion times (not that we already DON'T answer questions a million bajillion times)
JediHDM> Right on! Let's sue the Wachoski Brothers for having us answer the same questions million bajillion times.
You know how it is. Some things in the Matrix movies are cut out in cardboard, some are hinted at, and other things are left ENTIRELY up to your vivid imagination

While Revolutions actually gets better every time I watch it, Trinity's death scene still brings me to tears!(please log in to view the image)
JediHDM> I watched, very carefully, the end-scene, where Neo is being transported away. There is NO doubt he’s glowing, as bright as Deus actually, and the transporter is glowing, too. It’s the combination that creates the lotus-effect, you’re right. Neo is shaped - like a star.
But did you pay attention to the moment, where the machines shoot the anti-virus through Neo, and he convulses: First it forms a cross, then you see a myriad of patterns running the length of his body???

I'm disapponted it's all over. What am I going to do now?
There's nothing I've ever felt so much for, but now it's all gone. Almost all the way through the trilogy gave me shivers down my spine. It's that good.

i recommend watching the matrix revoutions in imax... it's unbelievable how big the snetinels are on the screen... as if they were real and coming straight at you... plus you can hold up your hand and pretend you're the one making them explode ...
Kalantiaw also has a point. Aside from the Imax you WAIT for Revolutions on DVD, too.
As for the monthly fee – well – that’s real life.
(Looks at Korri)

...no, really, i am crying...its that powerful...this is what i'm talking about when i say the Matrix is an awesome series...it just moves you. ok...i'm going to go and cry some more...
Omega> i guess this is about when i stopped visiting...because we were talking and all of a sudden...i wasn't...sorry...anywho, to answer your question, i would have to go back and see it...and seeing as how i don't own the DVD (*gasp arises from reader*) i'm just going to have to make do for the moment...with the trailers...*sniff* thats enough to make you cry...
I did.
I still end up in tears watching the DVD. At least now I can weep uncontrollably and theres light so I can find my kleenex...
(sighs)
But why? Why do these deaths tear us apart like they do?
Mifune didn’t die in vain. Neither did Trin or Neo (or whatever happened to them).
What would’ve happened if they’d all survived? Aside from disbelief at no casualties?? Imagine the end of Revos with Neo and Trin standing there, and then “The End.” NOW what? Just boring everyday life? What’s wrong with dying for something you believe in? Trinity even told Mero to “Believe it!”. She would die for Neo, and she did. Neo died bringing peace. What better way to go?
So… why?
