Broken> Mobil ave is a Limbo. A place between the Matrix and the real world. It’s not purgatory.
He wasn’t ready to die when he stopped the sentinels, as the Oracle explains. He used the connection to the Source which was inherent to the anomaly, but the stress should’ve killed him, as he wasn’t ready for it. His mind did touch the Source, but it couldn’t “stay”.

The Merovingian as a king is to be taken along with his marriage to Persephone. That is, he’s a kind of Hades “The King/Lord of the Underworld”, that is subsystems, trashcan etc. of the Matrix. That his name is Merovingian could be taken to mean he was originally written by Architect/Oracle and probably an exile from the first/perfect Matrix.

Okay, I'm trying to turn my distaste for the ending of Revo to something positive, so here is my attempt.

About the Crowd:
The crowd at the theatre was ecstatic before the movie started. It was Star Wars aura there (and if any of you have been to a Star Wars premiere, you know what I mean, dress ups and fighting... etc...) and after the movie was over. Silence. Complete silence.

About the Movie:
First of all, I don't believe Neo is dead in the Matrix. His body is no longer of use to him in the Real World. He saved Zion, now he must save all those left in the Matrix who are to be saved. In theory, I think his mind has been "absorbed" into the Matrix. I think what would have made a more interesting thing that just showing the little girl and the Oracle after the Smith Chain Reaction Blow Up would have been to show the Oracle making her way over to Neo, who sits up and smiles at her.

And everyone is so angry that Smith was so powerful. HE WAS NEO'S OPPOSITE!! How else would he be able to do the things he could?? Neo copied a part of himself into Smith in M1. So why not?? Why could Neo be the only one to become more powerful?? Basically, it was Neo's fault Smith was created, so that was his punishment, I guess. Neo sacrificed himself in the end because he knew it was all his fault.

A few other things that bothered me (or interested me).

Why did the Merovingian back down so quickly to Trinity?? I thought he was supposed to have some sort of power?? And WTF?!? Persephone had like one line!!! What a waste of such a cool character. AND what were these two supposed to represent anyway??

And Sparks, who looked to make a large impact in the game was in the movie like 2 seconds. I'd also like to note that Morph turned out to be a bit of a puss as well. Taking orders from a girl?? And they didn't even kiss in the end......

The Architect agreed to the Oracle that anyone who WANTED to be free would be freed. Not everyone is going to be freed. That goes back to the first movie when they told Neo he was too old to be freed (I'm sure someone will correct me with the exact quote).

Did anyone else notice the "Tasty Wheat" billboard in the train station. That made me laugh.

And did anyone else want that Kid to get whacked by a machine after he opened the gates?? I SURE AS HELL DID!!!

I really think that the Brothers caused more questions than answered them, and I really don't see how playing an Online Game will solve that.

I think overall that everyone was belittled to nothing in this movie and that is what the movie was: NOTHING!! There was not one main character in my opinion. WYSIWIG from the trailers. Nothing more, nothing less. If I would have known the ending was going to be such a tragedy as that, I would have saved my $10 and waited for the DVD.

The best idea that I've heard, which also crossed my mind, by visman: "If the Wac. bro's get a clue, they'll shelf this movie and do it over."

Thank you - best idea yet. Maybe it was their idea of a cruel joke. It was the leftover stuff they had that really wasn't the movie and the real one is coming out on Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Why? This was THEIR vision.

Spoonieluv> Why do you call a simple discussion ON the Matrix a feud? And I don't see you contribute to the discussion of the movie either.

lol you guys, I didnt expect the wachowski's to keep the momentum of thier talent when they made revo , i.e. I didnt expect the grandest ending to ever grace a movie trilogy on the face of the planet. It was a good ending for a good trilogy, thats really it. Besides the matrix "Had' to survive if the Matrix Online game is based 'after' the trilogy. So really, it all came down to the wachowski's future plans on making money off the matrix, so in 'my' opinion they conformed the movie to fit thier wallets.

If the W-brothers were only in it for the money, they’d have made a happy ending, to please ALL the people, who know HATE the Matrix, simply because of the way it ended.

Andy and Larry really don't NEED anymore money. They've made so much by now, it could last several lifetimes.

lol, oh come on, the crappy matrix multi-platform game, and now the matrix online (mmorpg) ? they conformed the 2nd and 3rds story to thier future plans because they know they arent gonna be known for much else. I loved all 3 movies, but I still feel like the 3rd one had much potential to be unlocked before everything unfolded. Besides I think the cast , crew , directors , choreographers etc all got quite a huge sum themselves. People never 'need' more money, its just that it couldnt hurt to have 20 mansions with 50 plasma screen tv's etc. Life is ten times as expensive for them depending on which lifestyle they choose to live. I can bet keanu made 10 times the money they made off the trilogy hehe.

It would be nice if something as great as the matrix would live on in future forms of entertainment, but with the cheesy mmorpg thats to follow in the coming year, I dont really thing its going to be well remembered. Unless of course someone were to actually spend time making a game engine exclusive to the matrix games. I dont think the wachowski's would be willing to spend precious money though. which is why 'enter the matrix' was created. tried , true , and lame gameplay.

Warner Bros, Monolith Productions, and EON Entertainment have announced that they are producing a massively multiplayer online game based on the blockbuster sci-fi film The Matrix and the film's upcoming sequels. The game will be a re-creation of the virtual world featured in the movie, and it will support tens of thousands of players in the same environment. It will combine elements of action adventure and character building in a persistent online world.

The game is being designed by Monolith, the studio that created No One Lives Forever and the Aliens Versus Predator action games, and EON Entertainment--a collaboration between Joel Silver, the films' producer, and Larry and Andy Wachowski, the films' creators. The game will be built on LithTech's Discovery system, an all-new game engine and set of tools specifically designed for massively multiplayer games.

"We know fans of the franchise are extremely dedicated and loyal and we intend to do everything we can to remain true to The Matrix, while providing them with the ultimate online gaming experience," said Jason Hall, CEO of Monolith.

It was a HORRIBLE ending to what COULD HAVE BEEN the greatest trilogy ever. Who cares if they don't need the money anyway?? THEY ARE HERE TO MAKE THE FANS HAPPY!!! Because of whatever their "visions" were for the trilogy, they just flushed them all right down the toilet to end Revo like that. I'm beginning to loathe them more and more everyday. They ruined the greatness of what was the Matrix. Granted, it was theirs to ruin, but I will probably never watch Revo again.

i had just seen the movie the second time and really i must admit it was a great ending, although a few disappointments are noticed. for one, i believe persephone's character was a great one and could have been given more to do...she probably could have been made sort of like the strenght behind the merovingian...
trins death was okay, though expected, but most of all i was highly thrilled by the commander who manned the last transformer type robot against the sentinels.... that was great fearlessness and courage..he fought with his life....

but is neo dead?
anyway it is a good and well balanced ending and thank god there was no sex..(phew)

I'm sorry, but it seems to me that we need a poll on the ending now because I think they DID make the fans happy until they pulled off a crappy ending like that of Revo. IT MADE ME WANT TO SCREAM AND PULL MY HAIR OUT!!!

If you think about it, that ending was the only way to end it...I'm not trying to be rude, but sit down, and think about other possibilities...In order to end the war, save Zion, keep the Matrix intact (in order to save the humans) and not have either the machines or the humans destroyed, this was the ending. Any other way and it WOULD be a cop-out...Just think about it...
