The first matrix movie was good. Not great, but good. The action was entertaining and it was original.
Reloaded and Revolutions were horrid.
I can see that some people may think reloaded was good, but there is no way in the world that people can say revolutions was at all entertaining. It was the biggest piece of rubbish i have ever seen.
If people can tell me why they liked it, and give good reasons, i will be happy.
The second and third were boring, as we had seen it all before in the first one.

alpha> lol...i know...explained it so many times already...
black_mamba>where to begin? well, for starters, it answered all the questions it was supposed to. sound vague...ok. It ended the only way it coulda ended...with Trinity and Neo dead (or ascended), with the war over, the humans free, and peace, at last. its really late, so i'll stop there, but they really are wonderful movies.
if you are sick of attending these posts, then why are you posting?
They should have stopped at the end of the first one. The first movie wrapped things up nicely and answered as many questions as i needed to know. They did not need to show the war.

If you are saying is true, JediHDM, that there will not be any more doubt in the minds of people still plugged in The Matrix to create another anomaly, that means everyone in The Matrix must be told the truth of their “reality”. But that would destroy The Matrix altogether, wouldn’t it?
If you knew that everything you see, hear, feel, eat, etc. are just electronic impulses and if you want to be set free, you will be in a desolate world where you are barely surviving with a few thousand people, what would you do? Some would want to go free and help. Some would want to stay in their own reality, but then they would doubt everything around them. Some would be very angry that they were awakened from their dream of reality and there would be no way for them to go back because they know the truth. Others would just ignore the truth even if there were evidence on the contrary. Still others would try to control their environment and become more than what they are. Wouldn’t all this cause major doubt (although a different kind of doubt) and make The Matrix very unstable. The normal Matrix world would be turned upside down. There would be people jumping buildings in a single bound, or people able to go faster than a speeding bullet. Then there are the rogue computer programs. I don’t think they would think too kindly of every human knowing who/what they are. There would be some kind of war inside The Matrix which I think would be worse than the Zion-Machine war (though I wouldn’t call the past war a war, more like an animal study or experiment).
no, i didn't say there would be no more doubt in their minds, i said that those that have doubt would be unplugged. And there will be people that, even if told and shown evidence that the Matrix is the Matrix, will deny it, and will live their lives in the Matrix, calling them 'magicians' or 'hallucinations'...people will be so dependant on their world that they will not want to leave. And yes, there will be another war, which is the point of 'The Matrix Online'...
JediHDM> don't you find these repetative..? every time i read on of these, there seem to be no reason what-so-ever.
so black mamba01, if you would so kindly iterrate the reasons why you thought so, we may be able to enlighten-- not desuade, mind you-- your outlook on these "horrid" sequels...
Which is my point exactly, Jedi HDM I thought everything was concluded. All that's left to do is start rebuilding. Who would have 'thunk' that there would be another conflict!?! I don’t believe that the people inside The Matrix can go on living their normal lives. There can be only so many times you can deny seeing other people punch their hands through brick walls or have them suspend themselves in mid air. There will be an exponential increase in this type of activity because a vast number of people would now know their situation. Some people would be power hungry with the addition of extra powers and start using these powers (sounds like a supervillan/superhero to me). Also, how can you account for people start disappearing to go to the real world (not everyone can leave for France at once). There can only be so many times you see a hallucination or have someone do magic before you realize something is wrong. The normal world of The Matrix will cease to exist. Which is a great start for what happens after Revolutions…and this just p*ss*s me off to no end (pun not intended).
I don't blame any of the fans who loved Revolutions, but I was led to believe (this is mainly aimed at Mr. Joel Silver) Matrix Revolutions was the end of the story. I wouldn't have minded it at all, but I was expecting to read THE END on the final credits, not to find out I was just watching chapter 6 of a 10 chapter story. Then telling me that chapter 7 can only be viewed if you play a video game. Great for gamers and the avid fans, but I'm a bit peeved. Don't get me wrong, I, myself, am a gamer and I have been watching/collecting anime for over 20 years. The ending of Revolutions would have been fine and dandy if I weren't expecting chapter 10 (I loved the anime series Berserk and Neon Genesis Evangelion even though the endings of those two were incredibly confusing, to say the least).
In my opinion, most of the casual Matrix fans (and some avid fans) were turned off because of this. Which is going to be an incredible tragedy, because The Matrix should have gone into movie history with the likes of Lord Of The Rings or the original Star Wars trilogy as the greatest Sci Fi/Fantasy series of all time. Now it’s becoming a convoluted story that keeps on going.
The Matrix has always, since day one, been a multi-media project. if you are just going to watch the Movies, that is fine. And you can understand the plot and enjoy the movies themselves. However, if you want more of the backstory, more of the Matrix Universe, there are comics, games, anime, etc. to give a more detailed understanding. The Matrix Online is a continuation of the humans story. However, what was meant by Mr. Silver, is that Revolutions is the end of the story of Neo, Trinity and Morpheus. That part of the puzzle is complete. however, the B166ER picture is yet to be completed. This will be helped by the fans. they will decide who wins, and who loses. If more movies come out later about post-Neo, great. If movies come out about pre-Neo, even better. But i would hardly call it convoluted.
I don't hate The Matrix, I just didn't like where the whole storyline is heading towards. Most of the casual fans jumped off The Matrix phenomena because of it. Now most of us won't be following the continuation.
By the way, I'm not a Laker hater either. I've been a fan since the Magic Johnson days of the early 80's.
what i hate is when people don't give reasons why they hate it, they just 'do'...i like it when people can sit down at their computers and talk things out like civilized people...thats what i like...
So u dont like reloaded or revolutions, thats fine you're entitled to your own opinion. Explain why we like it? Why bother, we don't need to explain why we like something or dislike it...jeez u sound like my mother who thinks there should be a reason for doing every little thing
