You think that's cool? My uncle Bill was a clone of Boba Fett.

Me neither. He wasn't a great character anyway. The rest of the saga can continue easily without him.

Re: ....
I thought he was a good character but Hugh Quarshie looked at the camera twice in TPM and it really annoys me!!!!

Re: Where?
I'll have to find it myself. I know what you mean though. Sometimes he is facing away from the camera, but his eyes move around to look at it.

Panaka
I am personally glad that Panak will not be returning, he was a "nothing" character. While he did not hurt the movie I don't think his character served any real purpose. And he sort of annoyed me, he seemed like he was against the Jedi for some reason......maybe it will be explained, or maybe I am reading to much into it

I see what you mean. He always seems grumpy and pessimistic about everything. And I agree that he doesn't seem to like Jedi. There hasn't really been much info on him in any source books. I wonder if there's something important we don't we don't know about him.

If you were head of the Queens gaurds and two Jedi showed up telling you what to do and where to go I don't think anyone would be too pleased.

Good point, I guess he's just used to taking responsibility of the safety of Amidala and doesn't like it when someone else takes over.

I thought Panaka was too stiff throughout most of the movie. After they escaped from Naboo and they were thanking r2 (which I thought that whole scene was ridiculous) the queen says "what is its number?" Panaka kind of looks at r2, briefly touches his dome, then says, real stiff like, "r2d2, your highness." It was like out of a bad elementary school play. Then on Tatooine when they're heading into Mos Espa and the queen wants to go along, Panaka is like, "she's curious about the planet." The work planet comes out like pancake. Totally flat. This guy stinks and I don't want him back.

I think you are being a bit harsh on him. He is a good actor it's just that Lucas can't write good dialogue. Lucas can come up with the most amazing lines which people remember all their lives but when it comes to the simple stuff it's as if he just gets bored and writes anything down.
Did anyone from the U.K see Quarshie in The Stephen Lawrence Story? He was fantastic and won a lot of awards so I don't think it is his acting that's the problem.

I didn't see that, KJ. I think the same goes for Jake Lloyd in some ways. A lot of people thought Anakin was annoying in TPM and so was Lloyd, but I don't even think it was his fault. Like you said, it was Lucas' script that spoilt the character slightly with lines like, "Yipee!" and "Now THIS is podracing!"

Well, you guys do have a point regarding the dialogue. I remember reading in the making of "Empire", Ford tells Lucas that "you can write this stuff but you sure can't say it".

"I sense a disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were then silenced."
Ben Kenobi, A New Hope.
Does anyone agree that that is one of the most corny lines in the saga?

I love that line. It's one of the amazing lines I was talking about. I hate lines like "we'll be sitting ducks".
