it seems marvel is running low on powers. now everyone is a telepath, or every one new can heal, they havent had any realy good unique powers come out lately, so post your ideas for new powers that u would like to see in the mutant world
i designed a kickass mutant that should be made in a marvel comic.
his blood was not red, but kinda a metalic substance, the same thing as colossus's skin, but liquid form, he had full mental control over the flow of his blood, so he could make more blood go to differant musscles making them stronger for a shord period of time. he also could control his blood out side of his body, if he cut himself he could make is blood act as tenticles, or like a sheild, or form like liquid metal weapons, (like termanator) i drew a pic of him, he looked totaly badass
I was actually thinking about this dilemma myself and I created a character.
He has guns. Seriously. That's it. He has the ability to summon dual pistols (possibly of psionic origin) that shoot bullets. I was contemplating the psionic origin bit because then he could control how the bullets reacted and stuff, but he summons guns. If he's wearing long-sleeve shirts (which he is), the guns slide down into his hands in a nice, slick maneuver.

sounds kool,that remends me for some strange reason of another mutant i created the same day i created bloodstream (the name i just made up for the guy i talked about up there) i was realy realy realy bored that day.
this mutant has vast reality warping abilities, similar to proteus, but he has one major limitation: he can only do things if he 100% belives he can, sounds corny i know but, for example, when using guns he would never run out of ammo because when someone fires a shot, they 100% exspect that a bullet will come out of the barrel, unles you are counting shots. with most things the mutant would have alot of trouble with, but for example, when he closes hies eyes, he would become invisible if he truly belives that if they cant see me i cant see them. a mutant like that would be able to reach unlimited physical strength until they doubt themselfs one bit. when i thought of this mutant i figured it would have to be a young person, like franklyn richards.
Terrain who has environment manipulation, creation, and and control. With these powers, he can change land elevation, cause a dessert to become a forrest (which could cause his opponent to be lost), etc. He has full knowledge of his surroundings at all times and can control wildlife with his thoughts.
Sparkle can self-implode or self-destruct, without harming herself. The explosions can have varying effects. Her signature move is when she destructs, sharp crystals fly everywhere attacking her opponent. Her power is a form of teleportation as she reemerges elsewhere; though her destination is not fully controllable yet.
Ail can fire blasts of dark-blue energy which causes his opponents to become sick.
Summon can create animals from shadows and can communicate with animals. Her twin sister, Shift, can transform into animals or creatures of her imagination.
And then there is Backflip who can move in ways that defy gravity. Additonally, she has gravitational control.
I had an idea like this a long time ago and posted it over in the regular comic book thread. Did you ever see it? Just wondering, because genius' like us do think alike sometimes.
Marvel has had a couple of good powers come out lately. I think the Muslim girl who can turn into sand is pretty cool. She's not so much a Sandman rip off as a new component, she turns into a conscious sand storm and has been seen to be able to perforate and completely wear away flesh (as she left two slavers dead and down to their skeletons--having shorn away all of their flesh). And Fantom X, although he's not really a mutant, but having your nervous system be your own person UFO? Pretty cool.
thats basicaly what colossus is, but yea i guess that would be cool.
id like to see someone that strong who looks perfectly normal, but who is alot denser than everyone else, like weithing 1000lbs but looking like they weigh 190 and being as strong as colossus or something
For anyone who cares, my original mutants and their abilities:
Tachyon: His body generates a temporal field in a fifteen foot radius around himself that he cannot deactivate. The temporal field effects time in one of two ways: either it causes time to go much faster for anyone inside his field than it would outside, or it causes time to go much slower. In other words, he can adjust his power so anyone within the radius of his power (including himself) would spend three minutes inside while on the outside three days passed, or three days inside while on the outside three minutes passed. He is forced to wear a suit covering his entire body to keep himself immune from the effects of his power, otherwise he'd likely age himself to death in a few years accidentally.
Pariah: Pariah emits pheromones from his body that evoke intense hostility to anyone within their range. In other words, you can't get near the guy without the desire to run up and beat his face in overwhelming you to the point where that's all you can think about. Since he possesses no other abilities, this isn't very fun for him. Useful for his team maybe, but not fun by any means.
Psora: She's a bit like Vertigo in that she can incapacitate her enemies. However, instead of making them dizzy, her mutant power causes people to itch. A glancing hit from her 'itching wave' would only cause mild discomfort, but a full-on hit would cause an overpowering sensation somewhat akin to being bitten by thousands of mosquitoes at once.
I have a few others, but I'll see what the reaction (if any) is to these three. I've got dibs on these powers unless Marvel takes them, so if anyone steals my mutants I'll tell Mr. Sinister they're the Third Summers Brother/Sister and let him take it from there.

Very cool Paptimus. I'd feel bad for Pariah, who reminds me somewhat of NXM's Tag.
Anyway, I always wanted a mutant who could create 'ghosts', and now we have her in the form of Wicked in Excalibur. I wish she was a little bit darker though in the sense of maybe her ghosts haunted her, while ironically she would still be able to control them.
if anyone here can draw or has good computer paint skills it would be cool to see pics of the guys you made up, i have some pic and some more mutants ill post them later.

Pariah was created when me, my best friend, and my girlfriend had a little bet going to see who could create the most uncomfortable-yet-not-useless mutant power. Pariah was my creation, while my girlfriend created:
Sap: Sap's deal was that he constantly secretes.... well, sap... from every orifice of his body. Think of something about as sticky as pancake syurp, yet not edible, and being constantly oozed from his arms, legs, chest... you get the idea. Naturally, you wouldn't want to invite him over, as no carpet can survive his presence for long. In fact, he even has to sleep upright in a tube to keep from drowning in his own sap.
And here was my best friend's creation:
Featherlight: Like Longshot and Archangel, Featherlight has hollow bones. However, his bones are so hollow and his body mass so light that he is literally light as a feather, to the point where even a small breeze would blow him away. But on the other hand, he can fall from great heights and not be injured, and jump higher / stay in the air longer than a normal person would.
I'm glad everyone liked my mutants. Unfortunately, I possess no drawing talent whatsoever. You can probably guess what they'd look like by their ethnicities:
Tachyon's real name is David Powers, and he comes from Canada, Montreal I believe.
Pariah's real name is Shawn Morris, and he's from New York City (I'm not even going to try to guess who many times someone tried to mug him with his power)
Psora's real name is Nazli Feroz, which is probably a clue as to where that weird code name came from.
And I forget Sap and Featherlight's real names, I'll ask them both later on today.

Biohazard: his entire body releases lethal quantities of EVIL chemicals (lol)--his sweat, his breathing, his saliva, his bodily waste, etc. To protect others, he wears a thick suit with a gas mask (think one of the pics from Fallout or Fallout 2). Now, this is a character I designed for myself, as I'm obsessed with my hygiene, and his secretions automatically disinfect his body so that he has a permanent (yet inoffensive) chemical smell exuding from him. He can create holes in his suit to throw out a variety of chemical blasts--acid, chlorine gas, etc.
