Sauron?

Wasn't Sauron supposed to actually come out of his tower and fight in the final battle at the gates of Mordor? My friend told me that this happened in the book.

If it really did happen in the book, do you think PJ will put it in the extended dvd?

it didnt happen in the book, sauron fought in the last alliance, he NEVER fight without his ring, plus the fact he has no body lol

yeah, it would have been cool to see, but it would be sooo far from the book it would shit on the film

It would have been really stupid if Sauron had suddenly gotten a body and come to fight Aragorn. But people who hadn't read the books probably would have loved it because everyone wants more fighting time for Aragorn and all the other hero people, and it would have been cool if it wasn't just so made up.

Too bad. I couldn't wait to see him swing his mace all over the place. But if that's not what happened in the book, than it should be left alone. I'm gonna beat up my friend for telling lies.

My friend (who's halfway though the books and is too lazy to finish them I might add) said that the audience on opening night started cheering when he took down the oliphaunt. I was glad that I wasn't there.

Has anyone else noticed Legolas doesn't do ANYTHING? He's probably the least important person in the fellowship, and he has about 10 lines in RotK. Not much to get excited about.
