Lindworm are small, european dragons with no wings. lindworms are large and eat meat.
there are german tales of lindworms, but the famaousest tale of lindworms for muggles is the klagenfurter lindworm. klagenfurt is a town in austria. in klagenfurt is a monoument of a lindworm, made by urlich vogelsang in 1590. the people said they could hear it roar during thunderstorms. But also the Lindwurm itself underwent a metamorphoses: The oldest city seal shows a two-legged, winged dragon in front of a tower. This image was used at least until 1609. But towards the end of the 16th century the idea of what a dragon should look like changed. From then on dragons used to have four legs, and the city-arms of 1669 show that type of Lindwurm. However, the Lindwurm of Klagenfurt was never depicted without wings. the mark of klagenfurt, the lindworm

Chinese Dragons(Eastern Dragons)
Dragon occupies a very important postion in Chinese mythology. It shows up in arts, literature, poetry, architecture, songs, and many
aspects of the Chinese conscience. The Chinese Dragon, or Lung , symbolizes power and excellence, valiancy and boldness, heroism and perseverance, nobility and divinity. The dragons have to be energetic, decisive, optimistic, intelligent and ambitious. Unlike the the negative energies associated with Western Dragons, most Eastern Dragons are beautiful, friendly, and wise.
however they were put into differnet types...
Those guarding the gods and emperors
Those controlling the wind and rain
Earthly dragons which deepened the rivers and seas
Guardians of hidden treasure
The first dragon
There are differnces betwenn the chinese and the normal dragons cuz the chinese are able zto fly without wings, shape shifting abilty and so on. (Muggles draw them often with wings)
{erm... i didnt write it from my mind if ya mean... erm... bout lindworms and asos were german sites so i had to write it myself... i worte chinese dragons myself, too...but i looked many things up...}
You make a character. Have you ever played a game like Zelda? OR Baldurs Gate? Well basically you make a character, and you say what that character does. Like, wait a second, I'll copy one of my posts. Dale is my character. If i can find it, I'll show you one where me and Kai, Kai Haider's character had a brief duel.

3 types of dragons. By Chris
There are many different kinds of dragons. Some live in the air, some live in the sea, and some live underground.
Weasten dragons:
Element : Earth and Water
Description: The Western type of dragon has been variously described. He appears to be created from parts of various creatures, having eagle's feet, two bat-like wings, lion's forelimbs, reptile’s head, fish's scales, antelope's horns and a serpentine form of spade tail, which occasionally extended to the head.He can be of any color and some species can even change the color of their skin just like a chameleon. They usually breath fire but this is not a general trait.
Powers: Those dragons usually have huge hoards of gold and jewels hidden in their lairs. They are known to live more than 300 years, some western dragons are even immortal.
Friend/Foe: They do not eat too often and can live on a sheep or ox once a month. They are usually portrayed as evil, mean, and bloodthirsty which is a consequence of the demonization exerced by the Church.
Famous: The end of the dragon came with Christianity as the Church declares them as enemies and send hords of knights to struggle against them. As a result, most dragons have been destroyed (and even more knights have been burned).
Magic: Eating a dragons' heart will give the the power of understanding the language of animals, eating the dragons' tongue enables to win any argument, and rubbing the dragons' blood on skin will protect against stabs
Oriental Dragons
Element : Water
Powers: Some of the worst floods in Asia's History were caused when a mortal has upset a dragon. Dragons were essentialy linked to the water element, influencing the weather and the water courses.
According to Chinese mythology, a dragon has to spend 1000 years under the sea, 1000 years in the mountains and 1000 years among men before turning into a real dragon. Before that he is a small serpent prisoner of a stone, called a “serpent’s egg”. After 3000 years, the dragon escape and take his adult form, the stone was known to spill a magic liquid called “inky blood”.
Friend/Foe : In the Eastern world the dragon has a rather different significance than in the West. He is essentially benevolent, son of heaven, and controls the watery elements of the universe. In many cases the dragon is combined with the phoenix to symbolize long life and prosperity. It is also combined with the tiger to represent heaven and earth or inyo (Yin and Yang).
Description : Having sinuous serpentine bodies and four legs, eastern dragons do not usually breath fire, nor do they fly. According to Wang Fu (Han 206 BC-220 AC)dragons are made up of many different types of animals of the Earth: the body of a snake, scales of a carp, head of a camel, horns of a deer, the eyes of a hare, ears like a bull, a neck like an iguana, belly of a frog, paws like a tigers, and claws like an eagle. A lion-type mane decorates its neck, its chin, and each elbow. They also carry two antler-like horns on their wide-mouthed head, and two long whiskers spread out from their snout. They are depicts in many colors like blue, black, white, red, or yellow. Oriental dragons are usually shown with a pearl in their mouth, under their chin, or in their claws. This is apparently where the dragon gets its power, and how it ascends to heaven. The male dragon holds a war club in its tail while the female dragon holds a sensu or fan in its tail.
Firedrakes
Element : Earth
Origin: Germany, Gaule (France)
Description: A drake is a dragon with only legs and no wings. FireDrakes have the breath of flame, and are usually reddish in color. In Europe many cities were named after this dragon: Drakeford, Drakeshill, Draguignan,...
Lore: They often live in caves and guard great treasure. They breath fire to defend themselves.

She lays the stack of parchments on her desk and keenly looks over it before handing it in to the teacher.
Types of Dragons
Flying Dragons
Flying dragons tend to only fly at night and when in flight are often confused with condors or eagles. Seeing them from the ground is not an easy task since they are incredibly good at changing their colors and blending in with their surroundings. It is believed that their wingspan is only a mere 10ft, if that and they only fly in groups when migrating. Flying dragons are found primarily in once-volcanic mountainous and tropical places. When it is not migrating season they tend to behave like the larger, flightless dragons and stay in caves, volcanic craters and deep mountainous canyons.
Wyvern
A creature with two wings and two legs. Often the Wyvern is shown with claws on the wings and having a sharp tail tipped with poison. Wyverns are sometimes called "dragonets" in England because of how closely the resemble dragons. Wyverns typically live in caverns which are readily identified by bones and jewels sprawled about.
Amphitere
Amphitere's originate from Mexico and have only wings.
Water Dragons
These dragons tend to spend most of their lives in the water (usually freshwater lakes with outlets to the sea). They sometimes migrate when the lakes freeze over and are fish-eaters. They are depicted with having a long neck, small head with lots of sharp teeth, and paddle-like legs used for maneuvering. The most famous water dwelling creature is the Loch Ness "monster."
Sea Serpents
Sea Serpents live only in water, fresh or salt, were once confused as being gigantic squid or huge masses of sea kelp.
Flightless Dragons
Mostly found in the Caribbean or Mexico, they are not known to be aggressive or vicious towards humans. They live in water-filled limestone caverns. Flightless dragons are thought to control the onset of summer and can produce rain.
Basilisk
A basilisk is reproduced by its own kind, rather than a rooster laying an egg and it being incubated by a toad, like the cocatrice. This creature has no legs, instead it slithers about on the ground. With a red-scaled body (upper portion) and a crowned head, the basilisk is a strange sight. Deadly and cureless is the basilisk's poison and with just their gaze they turn things into stone. The only way to destroy a Basilisk is to trick it into looking at itself (through a mirror), thus turning itself into stone. There are, however, three things that are immune to its gaze and noxious breath. The weasel, the rooster whose crow sent basilisks running, and rue, a plant which nullified the breath (eaten by the weasels to heal themselves). The basilisk, king of serpents, is thought to be confined to northern Africa and western Europe, just like the Cocatrice.
Cocatrice
The cocatrice is very similar to the basilisk. So similar in fact that the cocatrice is the result of the metamorphosis the basilisk under went in the Middle Ages. The cocatrice has bird-like legs, feathered wings, and wattles. It still has the scaled body and tail, however. The cocatrice is the child of a rooster (only a rooster) and is hatched by a toad or serpent. The Icelandic equivalent is the skoffin.
Drake
Drakes have legs and no wings. Fire-drakes, which breath fire and are a reddish color and Cold-drakes which breath snow (cold stuff) and are a light blue color are the two types of Drake. These dragons do not fly and their size ranges from 4'-40'.
Naga
Nagas are strange creatures with a snake-like body and the head of a human. They are sometimes thought to be able to morph from full human to full snake. Nagas do not have wings nor are they considered harmful or dangerous. For more information about Nagas, check out Naga: The Serpent.
Wyrm
Wyrms have no legs or wing. They are referred to as ancient dragon. Some famous wyrms are the Laidly Worm and the Lambton Wyrm.
