It would thematically suck for Orochimaru to be the final villain guys. I mean don't get me wrong, I like Orochimaru more than Madara but him being the final villain just seems...dumb.
Why would that be? He could always just "help" and somewhat redeem himself only to reveal in the end everything worked as he planned. Buying his time and all that shit. Would be so trollish Orochimaru like.
I wanna see what Oro can do now that he can use jutsus.
What do you guys think will happen with the Hokages?
No idea lol. I'd like for Sasuke to fight them since he hasn't had a fight for a while(I refuse to consider the Kabuto horseshit a fight). But him taking on all of them or hell just Hashirama is very unlikely and if it did happen then suspension of disbelief is out the window.
Well Orochimaru is still alive, and the sword sealing him HAS to somehow be somewhere, and if you can revive the Hokage's, the weak Oro running with Sasuke could always get himself out, then fuse with him, and BAM Oro the final villain to redeem Sasuke, and help protect Konoha.
Though Sasuke will probably show up to help win against Madara if he does get the redeem thing but eh. Oro has really been the only real villain so far. Obito is crazy cause he's a Uchiha and wants to make the world better doing it the only way he thinks is right, Madara is crazy cause he's a Uchiha, Sasuke jumps back and forth but hasn't actually killed anyone except Danzo who is a villain without really being a villain, Nagato was just used, and tried to make the world better through the way he thought was right but was redeemed anyway. Zabuza kind of redeemed himself before his death. But Oro just likes destruction. Never went good or did anything good or had a misguided notion. He wanted to destroy Konoha cause he could, wants to live forever to learn every jutsu ever, doesn't care about completely annihilating a persons mind just to use their body. I don't like Oro, but as a villain goes he's a better final villain than Madara/Obito.
Then again Zabuza is a better villain than Madara/Obito imo but I'm not sure if that's just my bias of liking Zabuza or not.

The theme of Naruto is, for the most part, overcoming the past. Naruto overcomes his past difficulties, Sasuke can't let them go. The theme of the new generation succeeding the old, the idea of changing the Shinobi World, the entire reason for the whole Chosen One thing.
With that in mind, why would Orochimaru be a better choice for final bad guy? Sure, people might like him more but that means nothing really. People liked Frieza but if Frieza popped up in the Kid Buu fight and revealed himself to be the final boss it would be stupid.
In the case of Madara or the Juubi they are literally fighting a force that comes from a more savage past. It's the ultimate challenge for Naruto really. To overcome that and change the world. With Orochimaru that really isn't a factor. He has no thematic place that would place him in that role.
It's the Orochimaru that's running around right now though that has the Orochimaru could be the final villain unless Sasuke kills the weakened Oro body he revived. Sasuke's final fight, and redemption also makes more sense to be Orochimaru than Madara as the Oro/Sasuke has more comparisons. Turning away from the path he was down, that Orochimaru never did.

Sasuke may not have killed anyone, but that isn't what makes him an antagonist.
Orochimaru may have been the best baddie in Part 1, but Madara & Tobi have collectively been orchestrating events behind the scenes for decades in the Naruto storyline, events which have led to a fight for the world. While it would make sense for Orochimaru to troll everyone and hijack the Ten-Tails, meh, I'd rather see him become a neutral character.
Plus what Aura said about the past and shit.
Might run for another 2-3 years. In another perspective, that is around 100-150 chapters, give or take a few.

And the Edo Tensai bodies that Orochimaru fought were not full power. Kishimoto retconned that version by saying that this time, the bodies were almost revived to full power. Meaning, they were not full power last time when they fought Hiruzen.
I want to smack Kishimoto in the face with some pewp.
