The one with the frame was some artwork I found online a while ago, a fotomontage... imo looks brilliant... unfortunately I do not know the name of the artist



Now again a pic made by somebody whose name I don't know :/
The text on the right side is Latin, from a longer text/poem written by Abaelard (1079 - 1142); it was also used for the song "Abaelard" by QNTAL.

Rough translation -
Rising up into the air/heaven
the [dark] cloud welcomed him with joy

Whole text:
Qiubusdam quasi saltibus
superni patris filius
ad terrena
venit e superis,
spoliatis
nunc redit tartaris.

Ascendentem ad aethera
nubes exepit lucida,
ferebatur
erectis manibus
benedicens
suis astantibus.

Ascendentem cernentibus
ac super hoc mirantibus
astiterunt
in albis angeli,
tam facie
quam veste nitidi.

Ad terrena
venit e superis,
spoliatis
nunc redit tartaris.


The rest is archaic Quenya as used in Valinor before the creation of the Tengwar (by some Noldor who refused to accept the sound change also afterwards);
For the first person Aorist of the verb "mel-", the Lays suggest "meláne" instead of "mélanye-", but as I'm not sure about its relationship to the Tolkien's later Quenya, I preferred the normal form

Wow, I haven't been in this thread for ages had like 20 different sigs in the meantime

My current one has little to do with Arda though
... I shall change that

At the moment, I have this... quote from a book I'm reading... it's a woman questioning the point and morality of being alive when one is supposed to be dead, should be dead...

I'll change it soon though, the next one will be by either Tolkien or Juan Ramón Jiménez.
