err..no. the only distinction (not that important, to me) between a general difference and a percievable one is that...one MIGHT not be percievable. No other distinction...
now..to your question.
If you look at it from that point of view, there is absolutely no difference between how we percieve the real world and how the inmates percieve the matrix. no difference can be tangible within the matrix, without KNOWING that it is a simulation, and what that implies.

You can respond to perceivable differences. You can never respond to ones you do not even notice. All differences you ever know about are perceivable. Isn't the fact that only important ones will ever actually be defined as differences important?
In any case, the distinction does exist, no matter what."

"As to your other statement, I accept your view that there is no perceivable difference for an inmate. But could you further justify saying the differences are not tangible? Surely being overwritten by an Agent is tangible for any person. In fact, the level of control in the Matrix is tangible. It is a difference that can have severe effect on a person."
